One common misconception about polyamory is that it’s a “white people thing”. Ironically enough, it’s the current system societally enforced monogamy that’s white culture lol. Many nonwhite cultures are traditionally accepting of polyamory & polygamy…
After learning to resist unhealthy entanglements and becoming comfortable with with yourself as a relationship anarchist, the next big step is to develop a way to deal with with rejection.
Facing the excruciating, heartbreaking, mind-numbing, claustrophobic, rollercoaster that is relationship anarchy, only to be set off by hard-wired triggers from monogamy is so frustrating 🤦🏽♀️
The fact that you can’t see that you, women in positions, fought for by women before you in fighting misogynoir, are being used as tools to further perpetuate misogyny against a liberated woman who is a victim of misogyny & bigotry will mark historic disgrace & that consoles me.
people think polyamory is a breeze but they don't realize the struggle of sending a good morning text to all of your partners and the people you wanna flirt with for the day
Oh, you’re polyamorous? Which one of you is a burnt out gifted kid with undiagnosed ADHD and which one of you grew up fundamentalist, and which one of you has more tattoos than friends and which one of you has a chronic illness and which one of you owns a snake?
Just a reminder that you can't use polyamory to fix a broken relationship. When two people already feel unseen, unheard, and unloved, adding someone else into that dynamic will only make those issues worse AND is unhealthy for the new relationship as well.
