Today in the world, were experiencing all sorts of wars and injustice and conflicts. These wars have led us to conspire that Family X is controlling the world, Family Y is influencing things, The Jews are influencing our views, The Jews control the world. Islam is taking over, The Replacement theory and all that.

The fact that the world is in conflict, is not even new news to us Christians, we are aware that this world is not safe for us at all. Sin has confused the world.

This is according to Revelation 12 that Satan is making enemity with the church. Revelation also tells us God is holding on the winds of war, meaning things would have escalated even more if not by His grace.

Ellen White, the prophetess lived at a time where conspiracy theories were gaining momentum. Illuminati and Freemasons theories. What does Ellen White even say about them??

We need to understand that the Adventist church adopts a historicism theory in explaining its beliefs in Biblical prophecy. Other churches believe in it too while others believe in futurism.

I too believe Biblical historicism is valid and legit. If things have not happened then we can view it in the light that it will happen but in conjuction with what the Bible has revealed and what has already happened.

Illuminati and Freemasonry have been in the world way before Ellen White herself. If God would want to reveal something through Ellen White, He would have. Jesus Himself would have said something about them too coming in the future ..

In Matthew 24, Jesus only mentions that wars will happen, signs will happen in the skies and gives other signs that we can recognize the end is near. Jesus didn't give us even one dot of these secret organizations.

Through Paul, were told about the Anti-Christ, John also speaks of him. They all surround on this revelation of the Anti-Christ. Shouldn't our focus be there? I believe on the Reformation age where they all identified that The Roman Catholic Church is the anti Christ.

Jesus didn't waste a minute thinking about government plots, empire overthrowing another. Paul didn't even think on cultural messages, we shouldn't too think on these blurry theories, everything in this world if you think about it is suspicious. It is a sinful world.

Symbols, Secret societies, powerful economical institutions, different cultures, religions but God told us focus on the Anti-Christ. If there is one thing we should focus is Jesus Himself, bringing others to Him and know the real enemy is the Anti-Christ. He is in the below but we know him.

Michael as in Daniel 12:1 says, when His people are in danger, He Himself will stand on for them.

I would say the hating comments are a result of tacticos ideas.

He cannot split passes, he dosent dominate his zone, he is not a regista, passing metronome, high volume passer, long legs theories etc.

Your question assumes positively, that curiosity leads to apostacy which is not necessary the case. Regardless my point was about that if your not interested in different niches of thoughts you might be in the lower echelons of IQ.

But since you pointed about apostacy, lets go

Curiosity strengthens one belief, by digging deep into the context, history and theology one may understand the real meaning, get nuanced understanding which strengthens their belief more rather than just accepting inherited beliefs.

Also, faith that is never questioned, is blind faith. As Christians were ought not to believe just in blind faith but good faith. Have atleast plausible reasons to believe what you believe. Example; God dosent give us all the evidence and proof that He exists but gives us enough reasons to believe that He does. God leaves possible space for doubt but also enough reasons to not doubt - for faith to grow. The doubt leads to curiosity

Biblical characters such as Job, David, Abraham, Gideon questioned God. Not in bad faith but for more understanding .. they didn't question God in terms like of Thomas, but for more understanding. Daniel prayed to God for more clarification on prophecies he couldn't understand. - they were curious.

Lastly, I would say apostacy is a person's decision - and that can be done through enough curiosity but also it can be through personal experiences, emotions, life problems, societal influences, love relations to change religion to partner's spouse.

So they are variety of reasons.
