Minister of Power and Inspector General of Police Unite to Combat Power Infrastructure Vandalism

According to the Minister of Power @JosephOTegbe, the persistent vandalism of transmission and distribution facilities remains one of the greatest obstacles to achieving stable electricity supply across the country. He called for enhanced police surveillance, stronger protection of critical power installations, and closer collaboration between the Ministry and the Police to safeguard national power assets.

In response, IGP @TunjiDisu1 reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force's commitment to protecting critical national infrastructure and agreed to work with the Ministry to establish a dedicated Joint Task Force to secure power facilities nationwide. He also pledged that the Police would intensify the investigation and prosecution of vandals and other criminals responsible for attacks on power infrastructure.
