A PulseChain theory I've been thinking about...

I think a lot of people are judging the original PulseChain infrastructure as if it was supposed to be the finished product.

I don't think it ever was.

I think it was scaffolding.

Hear me out.

When PulseChain launched, it needed four things to exist on day one:

• Validators so blocks could be produced.
• A bridge so capital could enter the ecosystem.
• PulseX so assets had somewhere to trade.
• High INC emissions to incentivize liquidity.

Without those four things, there is no ecosystem.

Remember the bridge during launch?😤

It was taking days to complete transactions because demand was overwhelming it. People initiated a bridge on Monday and sometimes didn't receive funds until Friday.

That wasn't because the idea failed.

It was because the chain had just been born.

Then something interesting happened.

Community members began standing up validators.

The original bootstrap validators became unnecessary.

Those validators were shut down and the PLS was burned instead of remaining in circulation. A complete act of benevolence by the RH team.

The network transitioned from bootstrap infrastructure to community infrastructure.

Now look at INC.

At launch, emissions were extremely generous because PulseX needed liquidity.

That incentive worked.

Liquidity providers supplied capital, markets formed, and the DEX became functional.

Then emissions were gradually reduced.

Less inflation.
Less incentive driven liquidity.
Potentially less sell pressure from newly issued INC.

To me, that looks like another bootstrap mechanism being dialed back as the ecosystem matured.

Now fast forward to today.

We have projects like @zkxwallet and @InternetMoneyio with built in security, privacy integrations, and a far more polished user experience.

We have @LibertySwapFi making cross chain movement dramatically easier and aggregators like @piteasio finding you the best route.

We have new V3 liquidity solutions that didn't exist at launch.

Here's my speculation.

What if PulseX was never meant to be the final user experience?

What if it was designed to become the economic engine underneath everything else?

Modern wallets...
Modern bridges...
Aggregators...
Privacy tools...
V3 interfaces...

...all routing activity into the same underlying liquidity layer.

In other words:

The front end evolves.

The settlement layer stays.

People keep saying:

"PulseX sucks."
"The bridge sucks."

Maybe we're asking the wrong question....

Maybe those products accomplished exactly what they were supposed to accomplish.

Bootstrap the ecosystem.

Everything we're seeing now feels less like replacing PulseChain's original infrastructure and more like building mature products on top of it.

Just like you remove the scaffolding after a building is complete not because the scaffolding failed, but because it succeeded.

One final thought.

Richard Heart once said there were multiple teams working on PulseChain.

I have no evidence about who is behind today's upgraded ecosystem projects or how they're organized, so I'm not making any claims there.

But I do wonder if what we're seeing is the next stage of the architecture finally coming online.

Maybe we've spent the last four years judging the scaffolding...

...instead of looking at the building.

#FreeSpeech is our god given human right. Laws against misinformation and disinformation are 100% guaranteed to destroy innocent men. Humanity is constantly learning, which means that what was once thought to be true, turns out to be false, and then sometimes turns out to be true again. So will you swap out the imprisoned or fined occasionally as we learn as a species?

Some examples:
1. The Shape of the Earth:

Flat Earth: For centuries, many cultures believed the Earth was flat. This was based on limited observation and religious beliefs.

Spherical Earth: Ancient Greeks like Pythagoras and Aristotle argued for a spherical Earth based on observations like ships disappearing hull first over the horizon. Eratosthenes even calculated the Earth's circumference with remarkable accuracy.

Flat Earth (again?): While the scientific community overwhelmingly accepts a spherical Earth, a small but vocal Flat Earth movement has reemerged in recent times, fueled by misinformation and conspiracy theories.

2. Geocentrism vs. Heliocentrism
First Belief (Geocentrism): Ancient civilizations, most notably the Greeks (Ptolemy), believed the Earth was the center of the universe, with the Sun, stars, and planets revolving around it.
Reversal (Heliocentrism):In the 16th century, Copernicus proposed that the Sun, not the Earth, was at the center. This idea was expanded by Galileo and Kepler, who provided observational and mathematical support.
Return (Geocentrism): Despite the evidence, the Catholic Church and much of society held onto geocentrism for several more centuries.
Final Acceptance (Heliocentrism): Heliocentrism eventually became accepted, but only after much resistance and the gradual accumulation of scientific proof.

3. The Nature of Light:

Particle Theory: Newton championed the idea that light was composed of tiny particles, explaining phenomena like reflection and refraction.

Wave Theory: In the 19th century, Young's double-slit experiment and Maxwell's equations provided strong evidence for the wave nature of light, explaining phenomena like interference and diffraction.

Wave-Particle Duality: Modern physics, through quantum mechanics, reveals that light exhibits both wave-like and particle-like properties depending on the experiment, a concept known as wave-particle duality.

4. Continental Drift vs. Plate Tectonics
First Belief (Fixed Continents): Early geologists thought continents were fixed and did not move.
Reversal (Continental Drift): In 1912, Alfred Wegener proposed the idea of continental drift, suggesting that continents were once part of a supercontinent (Pangaea) and drifted apart.
Return (Skepticism): Wegener’s theory was widely rejected for decades because he couldn’t explain how the continents moved.
Final Acceptance (Plate Tectonics): In the 1960s, the theory of plate tectonics, supported by evidence from seafloor spreading and earthquakes, provided a mechanism for continental movement and confirmed Wegener's basic idea.

5. Ulcers: stress vs. bacteria

20th century: Ulcers were primarily attributed to stress and lifestyle factors.
1980s: Barry Marshall and Robin Warren discovered that many ulcers are caused by H. pylori bacteria.
Today: We recognize both bacterial and non-bacterial causes of ulcers.
