“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” - Jeremiah 29:11
The funeral of Father Pierre El-Rahi, Maronite parish priest of a Christian village, is celebrated today in #Lebanon, as these villages once again experience the tragedy of war. I am close to all the Lebanese people in this time of grave trial. Fr. Pierre was a true shepherd. As soon as he heard that parishioners had been wounded in a bombing, he rushed to help without hesitation. May the Lord grant that the blood he shed become a seed of peace for beloved Lebanon. #PrayTogether
The sinner, drowned in sensual pleasures, scarcely knows God: he sees him only in the dark, and therefore he disregards the loss of God. But in hell he shall know God, and shall be tormented for ever by the thought of having voluntarily lost his infinite good.
-St. Alphonsus
My plan to save the Post Office involves creating an option where I can pay them to NOT deliver a pile of garbage to me six days a week.
I don't know how much advertisers are paying the Post Office to fill my box with mailbox with crap, but I'm willing to outbid them.
Something I could never get answered:
In 2016 when Obama gave Iran $400 m, "the payment was made in cash, in non-U.S. currencies, delivered in an unmarked plane."
What independent authority counted and certified the amt. before and after flight, as well as oversaw the currency exchange?
From what I could tell, we literally have no way to know if anyone, anywhere, skimmed a few hundred thousand, a few million, or more off the amount.
If you read the reports today, nobody is even sure how much money there was, and in what denominations and currencies.
How can that be?

"In the Garden of Gethsemane, the angel was not sent to deliver Christ from his anguish, but to minister to him in his suffering, that he might endure all for our sake." - St. Cyril of Alexandria
It wasn’t until after having an X account and seeing the disrespect, degradation, and flat out rage so many have towards the Blessed Virgin Mary that I realized how truly powerful she is and how desperately demons hope to minimize her role in our salvation.
“Never be afraid of loving the Blessed Virgin too much. You can never love her more than Jesus did.”
-Saint Maximilian Kolbe
