Federal corrections cuts CEGEP education in Quebec's prisons: Such reductions will endanger public safety by making rehabilitation + successful reintegration more difficult. Librarians also cut. Bread allocation at Cowansville reduced. What else?

🌎 Keynote Speaker | V Seminário Internacional: diferentes olhares do trabalho socioeducativo 🇧🇷
I am honored to be invited as a keynote speaker at the V Seminário Internacional: diferentes olhares do trabalho socioeducativo, which will take place online on November 11–12, 2025 (09:00–18:00, GMT-3).
This international seminar brings together researchers, educators, and practitioners committed to defending the dignity and rights of adolescents — especially those in vulnerable contexts or subject to socioeducational measures.
My keynote will explore how education and restorative practices can transform socioeducational systems, drawing from comparative research in Brazil, Italy, Norway, and the United States — and reflecting on the broader shift from punishment to responsibility, solidarity, and human development.
🗓️ Dates: November 11–12, 2025
🕘 Time: 09:00–18:00 (GMT-3)
💻 Format: Online
👩🏫 Coordinated by: Prof. Dr. Regina Célia de Souza Beretta

🇧🇷 Palestrante Principal | V Seminário Internacional: diferentes olhares do trabalho socioeducativo 🌍
