We are the workers in SF of Dandelion Chocolate who intend to join ILWU local 6. We believe in the future of Dandelion Chocolate, please show your support!
On March 17th, 2021, workers at all of the San Francisco-based locations of Dandelion Chocolate, officially announced our intent to unionize our workplace and join the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, Local 6.
So happy for @audubonforall and @RAICESTXUNION - all three of us announced our unions on the same day, all three have won certification! Congrats to all the workers who put their all into this effort!
Reporters: We would like raises and better assignments
Old-School Editor: You have to pay your dues first
Reporters: Ok, we're unionizing
Editor: Nooo not like that
But we've shown that it is possible to organize a small business. It is possible to unionize in the craft chocolate industry. It is possible to unionize across cafe, warehouse, and factory teams. It is possible to unionize in 2021, in San Francisco, in the middle of a pandemic.
One of our very own Shop Stewards: Patrick spoke at the @DemSocialists convention about organizing with @DSA_SF https://t.co/MB5sHSW4WO check it out!!! #TheWorkersAreDope
The rally, planned for 1 to 2:30 p.m. outside the Uber headquarters at 1725 Third Street, is hosted by Rideshare Drivers United, an association of some 20,000 drivers across the state with branches in San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego.
