Is there a space in your community that could be improved with some greening? Apply!
The Highbury Crescent project was a previous successful Greener Together applicant and we hope to see it joined by many others.
๐ณ๐ท ๐ฟ Our goal is to make Islington a greener, and healthier place to live. The second round of #IslingtonGreenerTogether programme has launched today to encourage local people to transform unused and unloved places into great community spaces.

@josephkazUK@IslingtonBC@air_parents Interesting idea, and no idea why thatโs not happened before. ๐ค
The funds for this project are specifically for greening and community participation though.

Special event for dads and male carers of under 5 year olds: spell-songs and artwork by The Lost Words.
Meet at the Highbury Fields wildlife garden (by the old stay-and-play โbandstandโ building), Saturday 11 November, 10am.
@FieldsHighbury@IslingtonBC We at Islington Gardeners think that Islington should turn the road crossing Highbury Fields into a beautiful green space with gorgeous planting and a water feature like the Highline in New York City. It would really put Islington on the map and encourage people to visit.
Fantastic #playstreet@unitethefields and @Islingtonbc. ๐
It was great to get involved with the redesign of this unloved space. Adding plants, seating, and natural #play materials would turn drab tarmac into a woodland for everyone to enjoy. Watch this space!
@CarolineRussell
Ideas from the community were flowing at Highbury Fields disused road, from spaces for girls, roller park, conversation spaces, to treehouses, wild meadows. Turning grey to green. Great work @unitethefields ๐๐๐
