#Muthumani deserves an Oscar campaign.

Raja Sir is the soul of Dorothy through both his score & songs. But Muthumani, in particular, is something else.

The song itself is an absolute banger. Insanely infectious beats that pull you into a trance when Raja goes 'Vanakiliyeeeeee' & you’re completely immersed. It’s one of those songs you don’t just listen to, you surrender to & it's been on my playlist on repeat since the day it dropped.

But it’s the way Karthik places it in the film. Like Mark Nicholas’ iconic commentary line, "Given the moment, given the batsman, given the match, that’s one of the greatest balls you’ll ever see." Adhe maari, given the context & everything unfolding around, the song hits you on another level. The lyrics carry an entirely different weight now. The man himself wrote it. It’s authentic, original, deeply rooted & yet universal.

That’s why I think @karthiksubbaraj & the Dorothy makers should go ALL OUT to put Muthumani into the Best Original Song conversation at the 99th Oscars. The submission deadline is October 14, 2026.

Raja Sir doesn’t need an Oscar, he is bigger than any award. But seeing Isaignani’s music on that stage would be a beautiful moment for him & for generations of Tamil music lovers.

This is a team that knows the road. Guneet Monga was part of the Oscar winning 'Elephant Whisperers' journey. They know that this requires screenings, distribution, strategy, press & sustained campaigning. Naatu Naatu won Oscars in 2022 thanks to some great campaigning by Rajamouli and team. Would love to see something similar here. Give Muthumani the campaign it deserves! ❤️
