Super rich will form trust funds, shell companies, benaamis, offshore entities, SPVs, Swiss banks and pay zero tax. Again upper middle class will get screwed. Aise vaahiyaat ideas mat do Handabhai
Why is it always me?
Whatever I do seems to become a controversy. From day one until today, even the simplest things become an issue. If I eat a burger, itโs an issue. If I cut my hair, itโs an issue. Every personal choice I make seems to be questioned and judged.
Sometimes I wonder is it because I am a woman, or because I belong to a particular community?
When it comes to me, I have no idea where the feminists and those who claim to stand up for women disappear.
Women in politics are not characterless or any less deserving of respect. Being a woman in public life does not give anyone the right to judge her based on her appearance, lifestyle, or personal choices.
Every woman has her own dignity, self-respect, and right to live her life on her own terms.
Beyond the position of Mayor, please remember to respect the woman.
Just because @Akshita is a bottom of the barrel vile pimp, the likes of Dhanya are posing as if they are paragon of virtues. Nah, if Akshita is the symptom the likes of you, @RKRadhakrishn@chitraSD etc are the cancer that destroyed Indian journalism.

The Chief Justice of India and the judges who greenlit this mess owe the country their resignations.
No judge is above the Constitution. Betrayal of it will be answered , sooner or later.
Time to ask for the resignation of the Chief Justice and the judges who allowed an executive-heavy appointment process, upheld SIR, and left the Commission free to operate in the dark.
Resignations are due from the Chief Justice of India and the judges who betrayed the Constitution.
No one in that Court is above it. Accountability will come.

ECI is not the villain for me. It is the SC bench which decided the fate of millions with the words โlet them
Vote next timeโ.
They are the main culprit in killing the democracy.
The whole world should be paying attention to what is happening in India right now. Computer programs have been used to systematically remove huge numbers of voters from the electoral rolls. But India's Gen Z has cottoned on and the tide is turning...
โThe Commission is a three-member constitutional body. It is not another name for its chairmanโ
Thank you, @DrSYQuraishi for this dignified and yet powerful intervention in the EC Gate discourse.
Please donโt reduce the Express report to a โcompromised ECI" only .
Put the gaze on the Supreme Court too.
It allowed an executive-heavy appointment process, then upheld SIR as a โconstitutional duty,โ and left the Commission free to decide in the dark.
CEC drafted the licence. The Court issued it. The Court owns this mess too.

The IRDAI consultation paper on commission cuts has sent shockwaves
Banking, NBFC stocks are badly hit as they mis-sold insurance for hefty commissions
The biggest reform is not in commission cuts, though
But the fact that the Bank RMs, who mis-sell policies will be named and shamed on the internet
If a policy is mis-sold, the name of the agent/employee will be put up on the internet
This will make them think a hundred times before mis-selling a policy
The Internet is brutal. People will start naming and shaming the mis-selling agents and their employers
This can make the employees unemployable elsewhere so they would refrain from engaging in mis-selling of such policies
Banks and NBFCs are going to be hit badly.
Insurance commissions form a big part of NBFC profits.
In FY26 it made up about 26% of PBT at L&T Finance, 18% at Poonawalla, 16% at Chola, 13% at HDB Financial, M&M Finance and CreditAccess, and 10% at Bajaj Finance (Source: IIFL, @kshayjogani)
Even for banks, this is 7.3% for HDFC Bank, 12.5% for Axis, 75.6% for IndusInd Bank, etc.
I only fear that the insurers will continue paying the agents (like banks, NBFCs, etc.) in the name of advertisement charges, etc.
Hope the IRDAI cracks down on that too, if and when, that happens
It is heartening to see this development come closer to the 1-year anniversary of my documentary "Mis-sold".
Grateful to have built this along with @1FinanceHQ, @kevalb26, @JeetMarwadi, @BatulKapasi07
First Gyanesh Chorโs daughterโs case is marked out of roster to junior Judge Sharma & second the audio of proceedings muted by Judge Sharma who grants her a stay! New lows everyday for Indiaโs judiciary.
CEC Gyanesh Kumar Must Go: He Has No Right to Continue in Office!
The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, along with other Opposition parties, has consistently opposed the move to delete crores of voters from the electoral rolls in the name of the Special Intensive Revision (#SIR). Rushed through just months ahead of elections in State after State, the exercise was riddled with irregularities and sparked widespread unrest, particularly in West Bengal.
The explosive findings published by The @IndianExpress today, backed by evidence, have now cast serious doubts over the results of every Assembly election held after the SIR exercise. The investigation reveals that Chief Election Commissioner Thiru. #GyaneshKumar had been acting unilaterally and in secrecy, without the concurrence of the other two Election Commissioners. Even more alarming is the revelation that Thiru. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Thiru. Vivek Joshi were kept in the dark about crucial decisions being taken within the very institution they jointly oversee. Their objections to decisions being taken without their knowledge were brushed aside on as many as 14 occasions in just ten months. These revelations have severely eroded the credibility of the Election Commission.
The Election Commission is a three-member body whose business must, as far as possible, be transacted unanimously. Where the Commissioners differ in opinion on any matter, the decision must be based on the majority view. If two of its three members were themselves kept unaware of what was being done in the Commissionโs name, this cannot be dismissed as a mere internal or procedural matter. It constitutes a grave assault on Indian democracy. The credibility of an apex institution that is expected to function independently, transparently and without political interference has been seriously compromised.
The revelations concerning the electoral rolls are equally disturbing. Appeals were filed against the inclusion of voters even after courts had ordered that their names be added to the electoral rolls. Who authorised these appeals? Who filed them? The two Election Commissioners themselves say they were kept in the dark.
The law empowers Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) to scrutinise and revise electoral rolls. Yet, they were unable to add even those who had been duly found eligible to vote. ERONet, the digital platform through which these changes had to be made, was entirely under the control of one person. When such concerns are being raised by two serving Election Commissioners, the extent of political interference that may have taken place within the Election Commission is plain to see.
As early as March this year, the DMK, along with other Opposition parties, moved an impeachment motion against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. He has no right to continue in office any longer. Thiru. #GyaneshKumarMustGo immediately. The SIR exercise must be halted. The DMK demands a fair and thorough investigation into everything that has transpired within the Election Commission and that those responsible be held accountable.
@RitikaChopra__
This is how the Supreme Court allowed theft of elections in our country.
These judges have much to answer, including the location of their spine. It is useless to have such judges who only delay crucial petitions that challenge the rot in our system. The stealing of the young generationโs right to vote for change has been aided, both intentionally and unintentionally by some Supreme Court judges.
