HYPE Then, STONK Now

In early 2025, HYPE was in a heavy downtrend. The timeline was full of FUD, and every day someone was calling it dead

Then came March. A trader used JELLY, a tiny Solana memecoin, to try to drain Hyperliquid's community vault. Within hours, Binance listed JELLY futures, adding fuel to the attack. Hyperliquid's validators stepped in, delisted JELLY, and protected the vault, and CT called it FTX 2.0

Many of us believed the biggest CEX in crypto felt threatened by a DEX doing massive volume and challenging it directly. I can't prove who was behind the attack. But it felt like the most powerful forces in crypto wanted Hyperliquid to fail

I was scared to bid. But Hyperliquid felt revolutionary to me, and Jeff's ideas resonated deeply.

So I told myself:
"If the most powerful man in crypto wants HYPE to fail, then HYPE itself is very powerful."

I bid HYPE at $14 and it went on to new all time highs. Today around $90 where I still hold 60% of my original position staking rewards

Today I'm in the same place with STONK.
The price is falling fast. FUD is all over CT. And a much bigger player, Pump Fun, has copied StonkFun's core idea with its own Custom Pairs and is pouring money into KOLs and incentives to pull attention back to its ecosystem

So I'm asking myself the same question again: if Stonk didn't matter, why would the biggest launchpad in crypto copy it?

Why I believe Stonk matters:

It changed what a launchpad can be. StonkFun was first to let creators pair coins with tokenized stocks, indexes, and majors instead of just SOL, and the first to bring custom quote tokens live on Raydium LaunchLab

It's trying to make holding worth it again. About 60% of platform revenue buys back and burns STONK, and another program uses pool fees to buy back the top coins on the platform. Most launchpads reward fast flipping. Stonk rewards the people who stay

Statistics show that more tokens graduate, reach higher market caps and the survival rate is much higher than Pumpfun

Its hard for me to understand why all of CT is not backing this but I guess thats what makes me different

Bidding into FUD scares me. It scared me with HYPE too

I know being attacked doesn't guarantee a project wins. Plenty of projects have been FUDed and died for real

But I've learned to trust my own conviction, because that belief in myself has been my greatest edge

If I'm wrong about this trade, it wasn't meant to be and I will try to find lessons. If I'm right, my belief in myself will only gets stronger
