You can agree with this guy's ideas or you can disagree. But one thing that scares me is the hatred this Doctor displays for those who do not subscribe to his philosophy.

His subsequent posts also belie a vitriolic and intense hatred that is scary. Reaching levels where he may well be unable or unwilling or unfit to uphold his oath as a doctor.

@IndianMedAssn you should frame some guidelines to assess fitness to continue practicing as a doctor where ideological inclination becomes so strong as to cause strong hatred of opposing thought processes.

His last known phone location, confirmed to his family by Andhra Bhavan, New Delhi, was the Chinese Immigration Centre at Gyirong, Tibet, on the morning of August 26, when the devastating flash flood struck.

I publicly defended @abhijeet_dipke when I first went to Jantar Mantar. Over the past few weeks, seeing the duplicitous accounts about his degree (I also went to BU) along with other incriminating evidence, my mind has changed. While the CJP showed promise and mobilised student anger, their dubious origin stories and unexplained funding casts a dark shadow on their intentions.

Long tweet about Dipke, Boston University, and why I’m concerned. What I’m about to say may offend both the left and the right.

1. I went to BU between 2015-19. I earned a Bachelors in Advertising from BU’s College of Communication. After attending the protests at Jantar Mantar, I felt proud that @abhijeet_dipke and I shared the same alma mater. I had even reached out to both Saurav Das and Dipke for podcasts during the peak of the movement. I really thought these guys were onto something. And that change was around the corner.

2. I first started suspecting something was off when my friend @Iyervval started posting evidence about how Dipke may not have graduated. His evidence included Dipke’s name not coming up in BU’s alumni records, his orientation page showing dates and events for September 2026 (implying the university still lists him as a current student), a back-dated article added to BU Today praising CJP, typos in Michael Dowding’s spelling (referred to as Michael Dowling), a scholarship letter with a URL that leads you to not the program’s landing page but a random article. But the biggest thing evidence of them all — discrepancy in his whereabouts during his BU semester (some accounts report he visited Punjab during his exams) and CJP’s inconsistent comms where they referred to him as ‘current student’ while his earlier tweets say he already graduated.

3. Before I go on, let me make something clear. I haven’t been paid to this. I’m too aware of political propaganda and know countless agency owners who send campaigns my way all the time. I find that stuff repulsive. Am I friends with people who are in politics or are politics-adjacent? Yes. But I don’t need the tacit backing of a funder/political party to amplify their agenda and speak on “behalf of the students.” I speak for myself. Now and always. Many don’t have this luxury. But I do.

4. Back to Dipke. I texted one of my old professor at BU’s College of Communication. This one gentleman was instrumental in shaping my career choices. I asked him that Dipke’s degree was causing uproar in the country and if he could confirm if Dipke attended. He told me he knew both Michael Dowding and Amy Shanler well (the professors who apparently taught Dipke how to do crisis comms/general comms coursework which helped him launch CJP). Amy Shanler got back. She said she definitely had Dipke in her class. This is straight from the horse’s mouth. Yes, he attended BU. No one is denying he didn’t attend. The real question is if he graduated AND if he actually dropped out/got expelled/failed. But I know for sure he did not graduate. Too many loose ends prove otherwise.

5. As for allegations of him learning ‘deep state’ and ‘regime change’ stuff at BU, I find that to be a bunch of nonsense. One RW account mentions Professor Michael Dowding taught Dipke regime change operations. I studied under Dowding in 2016. He was a regular professor who loves writing. Very regular guy. He is no way capable or even aware that he’s been labelled a ‘regime change’ enabler by the clever RW intelligentsia of Twitter. Headless narrative-building like this only reduces the credibility of these folks.

6. I don’t expect honesty from BJP, Congress, and other regional parties including AAP. They’re all corrupt to the core. You know it. I know it. We’re not surprised. My problem with CJP is their dishonesty. They mobilised student anger. They got a Union Minister to resign. They’re riding the anti-incumbency wave in India. They’re doing a lot of things right. But to trust that they have the best intentions for the students of India is to assume a butcher wants the best for a goat. They’re trained political operatives with razor sharp social media management. I’m worried they’re going to weaponise student anger for personal gains.
