New reporting says Ilhan Omar's ex-husband walked away from his green card petition right after immigration officials asked for proof the marriage was real.

Officials asked for evidence.

He withdrew.

Curious, no?

And in 2016, while the brother-marriage allegations were swirling, her lawyers were reportedly working on records requests and sample immigration forms.

It repeals the 9.9% tax on income over $1 million. And it bans an income tax on the rest of us.

Then read the last line the AG put on it. Repealing it "would decrease funding for public K-12 education, higher education, and human services."

Not a fact. A warning label. Written by the side that wants the tax.

It works, too. One poll asked it two ways. With that sentence, keep the tax 57%, repeal 35%. Without it, 44% to 40%.

One sentence. 22 points.

They start with millionaires. They never stop at millionaires.

The tax is in fact in place, but it is not collecting revenue until 2029. When it does, the money goes to the general fund. Repealing the tax means cuts to the general fund. K-12 schools and health care are the main expenditures of the general fund. So they’ll be cut.
