Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time. Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once. And being a @toystory kid from the age of 5 til now… is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond.

Thank you to the brilliant Andrew Stanton for imagining me for this, all those years ago when you wrote this newest film. Thank you to the incomparable @RandyNewman or the gorgeous sonic tapestry of songs and scores you’ve meticulously woven over the years. You created the Toy Story musical world, and we are lucky to get to live in it.
By we, I mean myself and my pal @jackantonoff. We wrote this with so much adoration for these characters that made us laugh and helped us learn lessons and think outside the backyard all throughout our childhoods. “I Knew It, I Knew You” from Toy Story 5 is out everywhere now. 🤠🐴

In Thursday’s episode, ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ paid tribute to Eric Dane, who died on Feb. 19. The show ended with a 65-second video montage honoring his character, Dr. Mark Sloan, also known as McSteamy.

The tribute was set to a cover of “Chasing Cars,” a song long associated with emotional moments on the series. The video included clips from Mark’s early days on the show, his relationships, and a powerful quote from his character about telling people you love them.

REMEMBERING ERIC DANE

Eric Dane was best known for his unforgettable turn as Dr. Mark Sloan — “McSteamy” — on “Grey’s Anatomy.” Over the course of his career, he also starred in “Euphoria,” “X-Men: The Last Stand” and “Marley & Me.”

Statement from his family: "With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS. He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world. Throughout his journey with ALS, Eric became a passionate advocate for awareness and research, determined to make a difference for others facing the same fight. He will be deeply missed, and lovingly remembered always. Eric adored his fans and is forever grateful for the outpouring of love and support he’s received. The family has asked for privacy as they navigate this impossible time.”
