@AskAmex@Lowes customer service has at least conducted a review and they tell me AMEX has received the funds from their records. Why is AMEX not able to conduct a review as well?
@AskAmex How can I resolve a dispute with my AMEX Gift cards if the merchant emphatically states they reimbursed the gift cards in question but Gift Card customer service does not have a mechanism to double-check if the merchant returned the funds?
@AskAmex I have called that number, and received no help, just to call @Lowes. I did talk to an associate at AMEX Gift Cards that said she would start a claim and asked for my email, but I have not received an email and when I asked about my claim number, no one acknowledges it exists
@AskAmex@Lowes My question is how do I get AMEX and Lowes to review the transaction details and see where there was a miscommunication. If this was a credit card, there is a way to review the charges. Why does AMEX not have a way to initiate a review on gift cards?
@AskAmex@Lowes Correction... Lowe’s initiated a return to both my VISA credit card and my AMEX gift cards on 12/14. My credit card charges were reversed, but the AMEX charges still were processed
@AskAmex@Lowes However on 12/15 the cancelled transaction still completes and $675 of my gift card balance is taken. Lowe’s customer service swears they funds have been transferred and they have reviewed the case. Why does AMEX not have a process to review if funds were returned?
@AskAmex I have, multiple times. I get the same answer to call the merchant. The merchant then tells me that AMEX received the funds. Call AMEX and they give me the same script that there is no method to review if a refund was issued
