Young people's hopes are the foundation of our shared future. 🌍✨
Today as we commemorate #WorldPopulationDay, UNFPA Zimbabwe joins the world in championing the theme: "Realizing the hopes and aspirations of young people – today and for the future."
Every young person deserves the opportunity to dream, choose, and thrive. That means ensuring access to quality education, sexual and reproductive health services, meaningful participation in decision-making, decent opportunities, and the freedom to make informed choices about their own lives.

Yesterday I had the privilege of welcoming our fellow Zimbabweans home at the Beitbridge Reception and Support Centre. Every returning citizen deserves dignity, compassion and hope.
As a mother, l warmly embrace our own. We engaged and every conversation was a touching reminder that, no matter some upsets in life together will always conquer.
Together, we reaffirmed that home is a place of love, opportunity and new beginnings. As a nation, let us continue to extend compassion to one another, uphold the values of ubuntu, love, and unity, and ensure that no one is left behind.
I am glad that the Government has put in place the necessary measures to facilitate their seamless reintegration into society, especially for those who have been away from home for a long time.

We may be the last generation able to set the terms on which humanity and machines coexist.
If AI is to be powerful, it must be governed.
If AI is to be trusted, those who build it must be accountable.
If AI is to be global, it must be fair.
And if AI is to serve the future, it must not consume the future.
Let’s build a future of AI by humanity, with humanity, for all humanity.
Partnership is the force multiplier for sustainable development. Together with Ms Rosemary Kalapurakal, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Zimbabwe, we explored how AUDA-NEPAD and the United Nations can better align their efforts to advance Zimbabwe’s sustainable development.
Agenda 2063 and the SDGs are mutually reinforcing, and achieving their ambitions requires coordinated action rather than parallel efforts. We must move beyond institutional silos and work as one, combining our strengths to deliver greater impact for the people of Zimbabwe and the Continent at large. I look forward to strengthening this partnership to accelerate implementation and deliver lasting results. #Agenda2063 #SDGs #Partnerships
