Uni of Exeter Disabled and Chronically Ill Network
@UoEDisabled
Network for disabled staff & students at @UniOfExeter to share experiences, provide peer support, & create change. Open meetings once a month, all welcome.
I am currently working with @AD_UniofExeter collating case studies of @ExeterDoctoralPGRs with ILPs. These case studies will be used to help develop supervisor guidance. If have an ILP, can you please fill out this short form https://t.co/MZ4XUsofay

@amymariemason Hi Amy sorry for the delayed response, I checked with Sam and she can email you the information - if you drop her an email ([email protected]) she’ll send them to you ☺️
PhD study participants needed!
Topic: how video games represent disability, and to what extent disability stereotypes might also be present in video games.
Eligibility: gamers who identify as autistic or identify as having a physical disability
Hi all, we are currently looking for more co-chairs/coordination group members to help run the network. If you are interested (or know anyone who might be, please pass the message on!) you can email us for more information at [email protected] thank you!
You can opt out of the study at any point without needing to give a reason.
If you are interested in participating, please contact me (Sam) directly via email: [email protected]
In addition, I will invite you to be part of a 1-hour focus group meeting per week, which brings together all the participants – participation in the focus group is not compulsory but would be much appreciated.
We've decided to alternate between Tues & Thurs for our monthly meetings (12.30-1.30pm) so more people can join. Our next meetings will be on:
3rd Nov
6th Dec
12th Jan
7th Feb
Please email [email protected] for the meeting link. Can't wait to see you there!
@emmadesaram @ExeVPLiberation The students are lucky to have you fighting their corner! @emmadesaram - do you know if the university is putting more money aside for the hardship fund for 2022/23 given that more undergrads and PGRs are likely to be needing support over the next year?
We've had confirmation that due to the change from ClickTravel to TravelPerk some people are being asked for their bank details in error when trying to book travel. If this is happening to you, please email [email protected].
The rising cost of living is putting particular strain on disabled PGRs. @UniofExeter please can you clarify what you are doing to support PGRs?
With the new expenses system, PGRs are currently having to pay upfront for travel/hotel costs. This needs to be sorted ASAP.
