Behind every climate crisis is a human story.
Today I visited Al Adaala Camp, where droughts & floods have stolen homes, futures & mental well-being.
I met mothers, children, and elders, all silently suffering. This isn’t just an environmental issue. It’s a humanitarian crisis.

The agreement signed by Ethiopia with Somaliland today is a serious concern for Somalia and the whole of Africa. Respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity is the anchor for regional stability and bilateral cooperation. The Somali government must respond appropriately.
The only Internationally recognized sovereign Somali Government with powers to contract is the Federal Republic of Somalia with Mogadishu as its seat of Government. PM Abiy representing the Federal Government of Ethiopia cannot sign a deal with a regional state. That is a sure recipe for a conflict in HOA. I had a lot of faith in PM Abiy ability to create durable peace in the HOA. Unfortunately hopes for HOA peace and economic integration are increasingly in peril. AU’s charter forbids secessions & respects the inviolability of the territorial integrity of all member States. This is a dangerous move for the Region and the wider continent. TPLF/Meles lost big time because of such reckless adventurism. The Somali Nation & the never accept such transgression.
Somali Civil Aviation Authority has generally stopped the use of plastic bags by its management and staff, which are dangerous to the environment, in order to promote environmental protection.
This step taken by the SCAA is a step worthy of praise and imitation.
