@RoshanaMN Every single patient coming to see me, saying how they just can’t get to see their GP. One patient yesterday phoned their practice 125 times to be seen for their elbow problem. Super depressing. Wish I knew how I could make a difference!
@telswood @RCRadiologists@halliday_kath That’s the third example of this I’ve seen in the last week. Serious suggestion: those of us who are consultants who have been to medical school should come up with a new title to distinguish ourselves with a new word to replace ‘consultant’; then the confusion would be removed!
@trentconsultant Where has this new job title come? How are patients meant to have any understanding who who is looking after them these days, especially now there are no longer names consultants over the bed and we all have tiny name badges which I struggle to read even close up
@workshop_77 You should tag Northants police in - I’d be interested to hear their comments in safety. Wonder too if their team even do this or is it sub contracted out?
@robsneyd Such an intensely moving well told & incredibly powerful story. Thank you for sharing it with us @DoctorsUpdates. All I can say is what an amazing outcome for you. All the best for your continued health ...and yes it would be my pleasure to donate to your @JustGiving appeal

@mosseri Sorry whilst I understand the rationale for the layout changes, I do NOT like the fact that text is harder to see, the Save to Collection more long winded and I’m seeing way more accounts I don’t follow (& I’m missing out on posts I wanted to have seen) & I can’t turn dark off
@jordannorth1 Hi @jordannorth1 I’ve been looking for the route online so we can cheer you on but I can’t see it anywhere. Please share or perhaps @BBCR1 can
@FilthyMcNasty_ He had a base of thumb joint replacement performed by me under awake block (the patient observed much of the operation). It’s an operation much like a mini hip replacement. It appears that it’s not yet performed in USA but is common now in the UK & Europe https://t.co/7HP3LtKabg
@Gnomelover1970 Just as important question @Gnomelover1970 - why do some people get it and others not! That would have my question at teaching! The surgery is, in some ways, easier to explain!
@enviromentalist Sadly it would be exactly this - a plastic cover for the X-ray, a plastic hand to hold the fingers straight, and sometimes a single use tourniquet & Esmark bandage. Then at some hospitals all the instruments are also disposed of too! It makes me very 😢
Thank you for the recommending me @CheyneWalkClub @SollusHealth. If you would like some help @RevRichardColes I’d be very pleased to help. From your tweet I already have an idea as to what the problem is. Probably best to DM or speak on the phone
