@oxcrowx The "WASM as what Java was supposed to be" model. Last i looked, the standalone WASM VMs also have the sandboxing headaches, but I do remember people trying to fix/standardize this. Best of luck.
@oxcrowx The WASM is always great on paper, but then you realize your target is always just the browser and JS doesn’t have the sandbox restrictions, so you just end up writing a ton of JS to expose the WASM to the browser/page.
@ItsDigi_NFT@OnlyWaifu He’s a character from Sanderson’s Stormlight Archive/Cosmere Series. ‘Honor’ is both a concept and a god, Dalinar basically refers to Honor is some way every time he talks.
@i2cjak We just have too many different patterns going on in embedded chips
Configure by pin, typically w/ 0 ohm.
Configure via external EEPROM via internal i2c driver
Configure One-Time Programable onboard EEPROM
Configure at boot by writing to control regs
They all suck.
@Darlington_SW@HariSel57511397 I’m probably biased after just finishing Stormlight Archive Book 5. Multiple characters have a similar immortality mechanic and are flawed *because* of it. Makes good reading.
@Darlington_SW@HariSel57511397 Maeve just became an impossible character to write for. Thandiwe did her best but Maeve was too powerful and not flawed in any interesting way.
@ID_AA_Carmack If I remember correctly, it about a guy working for a space vampire fights invisible space starfish. The author is so good that this actually seems plausible.
