Wonderful to meet many amazing people with Down’s @NDSPolicyGroup today. Down’s is not a barrier to potential, which is why I was proud to support @LiamFox’s Down Syndrome Act last year and why our reforms to SEND provision for children matter so much. #WorldDownSyndromeDay2023
Proud to be in the top three Twitter accounts most mentioned by MPs in the last 24 hours. With your support we have raised the profile of people with #DownSyndrome to a new height. It is inspiring to see our Advisory Group members speak for themselves at the highest level.
We are very proud of our Advisory Group members who are being hosted at Downing Street before attending the debate and participating in the round table discussions afterwards. Thank you to everyone who has supported our efforts in making this happen.
We are so proud of our Advisory Group members who have worked so hard to raise the voice of those with Down syndrome at the heart of government. Our work is only going to grow and their voices will become louder.
Glad to raise diagnostic overshadowing with minister @mariacaulfield today @UKDowningStreet and need for a designated consultant in every hospital to see every patient with a learning disability to make sure nothing is overlooked in assessing symptoms and other issues.
Thank you Carmela for your commitment and dedication. We really hope you enjoyed the experience and feel proud of all you are doing. https://t.co/Ky5GlA4Qtr
