I am deeply concerned by the comments made by Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir at an event in Kano this weekend.

At this critical moment in our nation’s history, statements that promote division and disunity must be firmly discouraged. It is particularly troubling to hear such rhetoric from a religious leader of Sheikh Jingir’s stature and influence.

Let it be clearly stated: the good people of Kano do not endorse or support these divisive remarks.

Political and religious leaders alike carry a solemn responsibility to uphold truth, foster unity, and advance reconciliation. We must not lend our voices to utterances capable of undermining the very foundation of our nationhood.

The 2027 general elections will be an opportunity for Nigerians to reward good governance with resounding support and to reject poor performance at the polls. This administration has earned the latter.

His name is Sheikh Yahaya Jingir.

He said that “Nigeria is a Muslim country. And if you don’t want to accept the Muslim-Muslim ticket, then you should leave Nigeria, because the country belongs to the Muslims alone.”

He went further & said “If it were not for the Muslim-Muslim ticket, the Christians in Nigeria would think they outnumber the Muslims.”

Then he urged Muslims to ‘show Infidels their limit.’ Infidels here are Christians. He is invoking fatwa against Christians. Repeating the now infamous phrase, “all is fair in politics,” a war chant. Sheikh Yahaya Jingir is telling the over 140 million Christians in Nigeria that Bola Ahmed Tinubu doesn’t need their votes.

So “whether Christians like it or not, Nigeria belongs to Muslims.” He said the quiet part out loud. So I hope the attacks on the Cardinal & the Catholic Bishops is evidence enough?

This is a political Imam employed by Aso Rock to cause divisions ahead of 2027. Of course, the DSS will not have him picked up like it’s done in Tajikistan (a Muslim-majority country, with roughly 96% to 98% practicing Islam).

Tajikistan enforces a very strict & sweeping crackdown on independent, unregistered, & foreign-educated Muslim preachers, utilizing broad anti-extremism laws to maintain absolute state control over religious affairs.

Sheikh Yahaya Jingir is preaching the type of incendiary ideology that led Nigeria down a terrorism path. Seventeen years have passed, & Nigeria is yet to recover. These are bad eggs polluting the Muslim Ummah for selfish gains.

I hope the fire is stopped before it spreads!

Bola Ahmed Tinubu thrives on divisions. He has declared war on Christians. It’s obvious that fake bishops have expired, it is time for the hydra called the Muslim-Muslim ticket to rise.

This is proof that Christians are persecuted in Nigeria. So I’m glad the incendiary ideology is no longer in the shadows. Now we know what we’re up against! Now we can take it head-on!

The most powerful bank in southeastern Nigeria doesn't have a building, an app, or a CEO. Yet it decides who gets credit, and who never will again.

In the noisy, chaotic lanes of Onitsha Main Market or Ariaria in Aba, a trader hands a customer two bundles of lace, or a cartoon of expensive phones, or bags of rice without taking a single naira upfront.

No contract is signed. No identity card is photocopied. No credit score is pulled from a database.

The trader simply write it down in a paper, hands over the goods, and says, "When you pay, you collect more."

To an outsider, this looks like a risky, casual favor between friends—a recipe for catastrophic business losses in a country where formal banks demand collateral, land titles, and verified addresses just to issue a minor loan.

In reality, it is one of the most efficient micro-credit mechanisms in urban African retail, commonly practiced across eastern Nigeria.

Inside the market, it operates as a sophisticated, unwritten credit engine. It allows small retailers, roadside vendors, and regular household buyers to clear inventory and stock their shelves on zero-capital terms.

The entire system runs on a resource far more expensive than paper: accumulated social reputation.

Inside an Igbo market, space is not just physical; it is institutional. Every trader belongs to a line, a section, and a market union. Everyone knows who trained under whom, who owns the shop next door, and where every member's village compound lies.

When a trader extends credit under this framework, they are not guessing whether you will pay. They are betting on the total value of your presence inside that economic network.

If a buyer defaults on a formal bank loan, the bank hires a debt collector or writes off the loss. If a trader defaults on this scheme, the consequences are immediate and total.

The news moves down the market line in minutes. The defaulter is not just sued; they are economically erased. No other merchant will hand them goods on credit. Their suppliers cut them off. Their market union steps in to seize inventory or audit their shop.

In a high-velocity cash economy where daily survival depends on constant inventory turnover, losing your credit standing inside the market is equivalent to business execution.

Paperwork can be forged, and formal contracts can be tied up in court for years. But a merchant’s memory, backed by the collective surveillance of five thousand neighboring shopkeepers, almost never fails.

That is why the trader does not need to write your name in a formal ledger. The ledger is the market itself.

By replacing expensive legal enforcement with community-enforced reputation, Igbo traders solved a problem that modern financial institutions still struggle with: how to extend short-term credit to micro-businesses without dying from administrative costs or defaults.

Your trader remembers what you owe without writing it anywhere formal. That's a credit system running on memory and reputation instead of a ledger.

When you see data boys act like worms that were thrown into salt whenever Peter Obi grants an interview, these are their objectives:

1. They understand that Obi has the advantage of engaging with the people via interviews. Hence, they want you to believe that the interviews aren't working for Obi. Meanwhile, it's a lie.

2. They are always looking out for what to spin out of Obi's interviews to set Obi against the North. Obi, being smarter than them, understands this.

3. They understand that most of their targets are so ignorant, hence they cut a few seconds of Obi's interviews to deceive them. Your job as an Obidient is to keep outsmarting them by sharing the true clips widely.

I can say it millions of times: these Obi interviews give data boys and their party so many headaches. Don't allow them to make you believe otherwise.
