@HistoryBoomer He voted 90% with after kneecapping Dems and their bills. I am not sure he regularly accepted any bill without his mark outs of what he would not support.
Didn’t he mark down lunches? Voting rights? Child poverty pieces? It goes on and on. And then left the party.
@billybinion are we talking about the same country that’s currently telling anybody that wants to come here, don’t bother we don’t want you?
Literally trying to kick out people that immigrated legally, green cards and anyone not born here. That’s our current state. It deserves criticism.
@WonderKing82 I don’t think it was all just because of DSA. I mean they lost Hispanic, white and more. The dem party as a whole sits at 30% with its own voters. Not sure Dems are in a place to say “it’s not us, it’s you”
@JAllen_NYC No skin the game and don’t care about Platner. But thinking this race was going to be some cake walk, no matter who won, is just willful ignorance. It was always going to be a close race and all people have done is make it harder over an obsession with a race they can’t vote in
@NYCdrops@Jay_McGill94 They did that last cycle too. They did it the cycle before that. It’s nothing new. People keep acting like the GOP are going to some something different when in fact they have been doing just that for years.
@Wilson__Valdez believe these candidates will not move to trying to win the general election? Like they got what they wanted and are just going to phone it in over the next several months?
It’s the primaries. The Dems are at 30% approval. I think fair criticism against them is warranted.
@shannonrwatts There always is going to need to be some compromise if need GOP votes to pass (outside of reconciliation) but yeah, they are doing things to appease Trump/admin to stay out of their crosshairs and it never works out.
@jsfreed I swear Dems look for more ways to lose than they do win. Instead of understanding what is currently happening the answer seems to be “just block those people from running for dem seats on the dem ticket”
@reesetheone1 It’s not the voters. These candidates have to convince people at large. Something “normie” Dems seem to be struggling with currently. Local/state politics are not the same as national.
@ShitlibSupreme I live in CO where we had a super majority. They were so concerned about making sure the GOP had a voice in everything. On top of that some in the party stopped progressive bills from passing.
Dems also cause problems within their own party and pretending they don’t is obtuse
@stockChartingTA@demcapitalism The voters in this district are more highly educated so that is a dumb statement.
Also, just because folks don’t vote the way you want doesn’t make them uneducated.
These posts are designed to mislead and it’s honestly exhausting.
@neeratanden@ryangrim I don’t get the misogyny issue at all. He never said she was incapable of doing x because she is a woman. He made a criticism of her as an opponent in a political race.
I honestly am starting to understand the frustration with Dems and the dem party.
@JebFain I’m lost. Maybe I’m blind I guess but where is the misogynistic anything in this? I don’t get it. If this is misogyny then how can any man been an opponent to a woman in politics. Call me whatever but I just don’t see it or even understand where this is coming from.
@KaivanShroff What is it about these few folks that has you all in a twist. I don’t even see the labels you all are projecting onto him. He answered about the same as some of your fav Dems have answered these same repetitive gotcha questions and you praise them for “pushing back”.
@Wilson__Valdez I don’t know. This all seems like manufactured anger to me. I don’t get what he said (not your added words) is misogyny just because it’s a woman. It’s not like he said “because she is a woman she can’t do x”
Based on these rules he can’t say anything negative about his opponent
@EliLake It’s kind of on brand. Cause your own problem that makes voters angry with you. Don’t listen to voters. Lose elections because of it. And instead of looking inward decide need to block certain people from running to protect yourselves from having to be responsible to voters.
@hasanthehun I’m not particularly DSA by any means but it’s good to have some change. If they win their general they will have to prove themselves and be more than talk. Or there will be change again.
@DeepNotShallow Doesn’t the question even start to enter peoples mind there is a good chance he won’t make it all six years. Even if the Dems take the senate there is always going to be this high chance they will lose votes because of members in the hospital.
@Jay_McGill94 He is has a bunch stuff coming up related to the fourth and 250. But it seems like his crazy rants are not getting the same attention they used to. Maybe it’s all the midterm stuff. But Trump ego by October is not going to be able stand the focus not being him.
