I travel for work a lot and have only had one hotel (a Hilton) ask me for my ID, and I had stayed there multiple times before without doing so. @SCGrandma77 @ask_aubry I stay at Hiltons all the time for work. I've only been asked for ID once, and it was 2 weeks ago. Moved across country, 3 nights in different hotels, with cats, wasn't asked once. It may be policy, but it definitely isn't enforced.

It's one of the top five worst phrases hoisted on retail/service workers, customer is king seems the same but is so much better. This really is about having just a shred of humanity, though.

Imagine having her day and then having a hotel employee impugn your character because you're checking in at 1am. Grow a soul, mate.

We almost exclusively stay at Hiltons for business travel and I've only ever even been asked for my ID once, and I wouldn't even be able to say that if it hadn't happened just 2 weeks ago.
