The consensus opinion is that decentralized social media will be built on a public blockchain but in reality it will be built on Urbit.
If you control your own server you cannot be deplatformed.
You know how sometimes you *know* there's a bug for months or years because the numbers are absurd but there's no conclusive proof, so you don't dig into it enough to find the issue? In the past week I've solved two of those in Urbit, and it feels so satisfying.

@bronzejaguar It feels so right yet also so wrong. Implementing this natively shouldn’t be too hard but it’ll probably be really slow... wonder why no one’s done it! Maybe a good hackathon project?
