@Mssarahmssarah The DOE and city need to invest much more in mental health resources for our families. In the meantime, the International Rescue Committee's NYC office does great work helping newcomers get settled. If families haven't already been connected with them, it might be a good option.

@ny4rjps My elementary school is in Maspeth, which borders most of those neighborhoods and is the zoned school for some Woodside residents. We're losing over $1.5 million. Dust hasn't fully settled yet, but so far, we've gone from 4 to 3 self-ctd sped classes.

Under the NYC budget, @NYCMayor Eric Adams & the @NYCCouncil are cutting over $1.5 million from my school. NYC has the money to fund all our public schools, but our leaders are choosing not to. Tell them we demand they #RestoreTheCuts!
