Unprofitable servant of the most High God, called to be an evangelist by the grace that was given to me through his son Jesus Christ.
Ecclesiastes 12:13
God repents 10 times in the Bible:
Genesis 6:7 – "...for it repenteth me that I have made them."
Exodus 32:14 – "And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people."
Judges 2:18 – "it repented the LORD because of their groanings..."
1 Samuel 15:35 – "the LORD repented that he had made Saul king over Israel."
2 Samuel 24:16 – "the LORD repented him of the evil..."
Psalm 106:45 – "and repented according to the multitude of his mercies."
Jeremiah 42:10 – "for I repent me of the evil that I have done unto you."
Amos 7:3 – "The LORD repented for this..."
Amos 7:6 – "The LORD repented for this..."
Jonah 3:10 – "God repented of the evil..."
The standard to be a Christian is that they must believe these 6 things (according to Hebrews 6:1-2):
1. Works cannot save a man from the fires of hell. Once a person has sinned, there is no ammount of turning from sins or good deeds that can restore that person to eternal life.
2. The God which created the heaven and the earth, Jehovah, will judge all men according to their works. Those that are righteous and don't sin will have everlasting life, but those who sin will face his wrath in hell. However, God, being merciful, and not willing that any should perish, decided to save men who sin. He did this by becoming a man, named Jesus, who was a righteous man who did not sin, even though he was tempted to sin. This Jesus was taken and killed on the cross, and when he died he went to hell for our sins so that he could atone for the sins of the world, so that all who believe in him will be spared from the wrath of God. God spares all people who believe on him, no matter how wicked, no matter whether they continue to believe, no matter what they do in the future, because he is so merciful. After three days in hell, Jesus rose from the dead, and lived another 40 days on the earth before ascending up to heaven, where he now waits until the day that he will judge the world.
3. Those who believe on Jesus recieve the Holy Spirit of God who dwells in them and seals them so that they will not face the judgement of God. And after they recieve the Holy Spirit, they should be baptized as a public profession of their faith in Christ.
4. The Holy Spirit empowers us to be able to directly communicate to God, and through his power, we are able to heal the sick, cast out devils, and do all manner of miracles.
5. All those who believed on Jesus will rise from the dead, just like Jesus did, on the day when Jesus returns to judge the world. Jesus will give them all new bodies and they will literally have eternal life on this earth.
6. Those who God has forgiven for their sins can never lose this forgiveness. Those who God has judged as worthy of his wrath will face eternal torment in hell.
@jkbdts@HolyPharaoh420 No. Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists, Non-Denoms, etc. I've only personally met about 1k Christians. There are no statistics on us because we are an oppressed minority.
@DW2025X@DanielvsBabylon Well, if you answer my question, you may very well get the answer to OP's statement, as most christians are wrong on even the most basic essentials of the faith. This is assuming you're even Christian.
