Loving Father,

More than anything this day could bring, I want You. Like Moses, I’d rather not take a single step without You. Thank You for staying so close to me through every busy day, every hard mile, and every quiet moment like this one. When I’m tired and pulled in every direction, please help me stop and rest in You, right where I am. Wherever this day leads, I’m so glad You’re going with me.

Father, according to Your word in Joel 2:25, restore unto me the years the enemy has eaten.

Every year lost to delay, disappointment, stagnation, pain, and missed opportunities, let there be divine restoration.

Lord, redeem the time I have lost. Restore the blessings I thought were gone forever, open the doors that were shut against me, and bring to pass the promises that seem to have taken too long.

Let every season of tears give way to a season of testimonies.

Father, let the years ahead be filled with greater victories, greater joy, greater opportunities, and undeniable evidence of Your faithfulness. Where I have experienced delay, let me encounter speed.

Where I have suffered loss, let restoration speak. Where I have known shame, let my testimony bring glory to Your name.
May I not spend the rest of my life recovering from what I have lost. By Your mercy, let me recover, overtake, and possess all that You have ordained for me.

Je vivais en Angleterre avant et après 2022. Avant 2022, je n'ai jamais entendu un seul mot positif sur l'Ukraine. Il me semblait que l'establishment British avait le même mépris pour les Russes que pour les Ukrainiens.

En tant qu'Africain, je vois les Russes et les Ukrainiens comme des cousins. Et pour être parfaitement honnête, je ne n'arrive pas trop à faire la différence entre eux. Quand je les rencontre quelque part dans le monde, je ne leur demande pas de quel côté de la frontière ils sont et j'évite le sujet de la guerre.

Entre cousins, comme entre frères, des conflits peuvent arriver. Le Royaume-Uni en a profité pour les jeter les uns contre les autres, réduire toute chance de paix, distribuer des armes et faire en sorte que le conflit ne s'arrete pas avant la mort du dernier ukrainien.

Ils empruntent l'argent qu'ils n'ont pas, écrasent leur population sous les taxes, renoncent à tout pour investir dans leur unique priorité du moment : acheter les armes qui permettent au Slave du tuer du Slave et mourir lui aussi. Il y a des jours où j'ai l'impression qu'ils gagnent sur les deux tableaux : que ce soit un Russe ou Ukrainien qui meurt, ils se diront "un de moins".

Un pays qui se dit ami, ne te demande pas d'aller affronter une puissance nucléaire contre laquelle tu as zéro chance de gagner. Il ne sabote pas les efforts de paix et ne te demande pas de sacrifier des générations entières pour qu'il puisse assouvir sa haine attavique de tes cousins, de toi et de vos semblables.

Les Ukrainiens n'ont qu'un seul choix : arrêter de jouer avec les cartes du Royaume-Uni, de la France été de l'Allemagne. Ces pays ont un long historique de se laisser diriger par des psychopathes. Ils aiment causer les guerres, changer de camps sans arrêt et de se retourner contre leurs amis d'hier.

Chaque Ukrainien qui meurt dans cette guerre inutile, permet aux politiciens de Londres de se dire, entre deux verres de cognac, que les Russes sont méchants et qu'on a bien raison de les détester autant. L'Ukrainien n'est qu'un alibi, un faire-valoir, pour un ressentiment irrationnel mais fortement établi.
