Here is an interesting study from our lab on how a neuroendocrine protein regulates its home where it stays and acts as traffic police 👮♂️:)

Findings from India’s first Ease of Doing Research survey
India’s research system is not only underfunded; it is slowed by delays, procedural friction, weak postdoctoral support, poor access to private funding, and gendered career costs.
@neeraj_4a41494e Also for peer review and grant application they should be avoided IMHO because there will be many misleading studies and AI will use that as data and suggest .. science is about wrong and right many discoveries were proven wrong and vice versa! 😊
Neurons don't connect randomly.
In this video by our #ElectronMicroscopy team, a blue neuron's axon forms a connection to a far neuron. Along the way, it links to some neighbors while skipping thousands. Connectomics seeks to understand what makes those connections special.
Chandramouli Mukherjee @MukherjeeCm_02, Bhavani Shankar Sahu @urssahu@DBT_NBRC and colleagues find that Chromogranin B plays an essential role in post-ER sorting of dense-core vesicle cargo.

What if one protein controlled the brain’s entire delivery system for hormones and neurotransmitters? 🧠⚡
A new study from @DBT_NBRC, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India, uncovers the critical role of Chromogranin B (ChgB) in neuronal signalling and hormone release.
The research reveals how the absence of ChgB disrupts cellular packaging, prevents hormone release, and impacts critical brain communication pathways with implications for ALS, diabetes, schizophrenia, and neuroendocrine tumours.
Published in the Journal of Cell Science, this breakthrough advances our understanding of how brain cells regulate communication and secretion at the molecular level.
