First, I would like to thank @olvelez007 for putting on this contest and @dzambhalahodl for alerting me to the competition. One of my goals for 2024 was to see if I could take 100,000 walking steps in a day. Early on some fellow competitors pushed me, thank you, and it led me to believe there was no better day to accomplish this goal than 4/19, to celebrate the fourth halving.
To me these are the most valuable satoshis I own. True one satoshi equals one satoshi but I plan on passing these million satoshis down to my kids and to use the work that went into earning them as a response when my kids tell me I was lucky to be able to participate in #bitcoin so early. Undoubtedly that’s true, but I can point to these million satoshis to symbolize how hard I worked for at least a part of my small stack.
Everyone should walk more. Take a walk to call your parents, siblings, or friends, take the furthest spot at the gym or grocery store, get a golden retriever then walk him, and slip yourself into a comfy, stylish track suit to just go for a walk so you age more gracefully. You would be surprised how many steps you can unintentionally get if you change your habits.
It is at least worth exploring if tying your step count to a daily cost average #bitcoin strategy makes sense for you. Even if bitcoin fails, I’m highly skeptical it will, you will live a happier, healthier life with more movement. Again, thanks to Oliver for putting this together and helping me search for my outer most limits.
Who is with me for a double marathon for the next halving? I know @halfin would be in

OLIVER VELEZ CONTEST WINNERS
Back in 2010, Gavin Andresen gave away 19,700 #bitcoin when its value was just a few pennies. See image 2. Today, the total of these gifts are valued at over $1.2 billion. Countless contests were held with prizes such as 25 #btc, just like the one you see here in image 3. The value of 25 #btc today is now in excess of $1.6 million.
Today, I will be awarding the winners of my two contests 3,000,000 satoshis, the value of which is only $1,944. This may be considered small by today's standard, but I believe if these sats are never sold, they will one day be worth millions of dollars.
In the same way we look back and marvel at how billions were given away in the past, those from the future will look back on my seemingly small contests and prizes and wonder if the winners truly understood what they were receiving. I'm hoping they do.
With that said, let me congratulate @KevinR4v for nailing #bitcoin 's 4th halving price, with a price prediction that overshot the mark by only $98. That's true accuracy. 👏🏽
Allow me to also congratulate @uscryptotax for winning 1 million sats by putting in a whopping 779.887 steps in total during my #Bitcoin wallkathon contest. 👏🏽
The winners now need to DM me a #btc address to receive their prize of the hardest money every known to man. 🟠
Lastly, I'd like to thank all those who participated. I was flabbergasted by the enthusiasm you all displayed. In this regard, you're all winners. 🙏🏽 #stackharder
@collienordelta@ProspectsUsmnt Yes but this is not how you form a hot take. The best hot takes come from people who tell you professionals don’t know what they are doing. This is hot take 101.
@HaileyLennonBTC Dang that’s crazy. Interviewed with them years ago. Surprised this was some how not protected by attorney client privilege. Also in the end glad nothing ever work out and lucked in to working for myself. Can’t imagine it any other way
@BitcoinPierre Fair but what would you find more valuable for government - capital allocation to quantum company trying to do this factoring in losing the race or, alternatively, just using that capital to buy bitcoin? I don’t see former occurring until the latter happens at great scale
@ZynxBTC This is why it is frustrating the USA has not acted. They hold a strong hand and can create immense wealth for the future by going all in on bitcoin
@JSeyff Yeah that’s crazy. One broseph broke 2 hours and lost. It is like these last man standing events where you run 300 miles and lose. Incomprehensible
