@gerstenzang but then who is the director of the movie? Who is @bchesky for @Airbnb or Steve Jobs was for Apple? Creative Director?

[RUKI @use_ruki]

@gerstenzang also, in this structure there is no “CEO” — they should be more like a producer of the movie

[RUKI @use_ruki]

thanks https://t.co/jvufYmhQQF

[RUKI @use_ruki]

@gerstenzang something we already tried to do at @myLapka before we sold it to @Airbnb — RUKI is more ambitions and more structured attempt

[RUKI @use_ruki]

@gerstenzang it’s ok here to think about “company” (a movie) with a “deadline” (release date)

[RUKI @use_ruki]

@gerstenzang that’s why we are in LA — very different mentality and approach to “ship” things

[RUKI @use_ruki]

@gerstenzang all that also should be like a production of the movie — so typical software/hardware product approach doesn’t apply

[RUKI @use_ruki]

@gerstenzang but this structure requires completely new approach for marketing, product planning and product releases

[RUKI @use_ruki]

@gerstenzang distributed corporation, which works more like a record label or movie production company — teams assembled per 8 month/project

[RUKI @use_ruki]

@gerstenzang our company is based in LA and Shenzhen — we are trying to build exactly that actually. So crazy to see this article
