We took everything we've learned (and more) of our work of Chaps - and applied it there.

TL;DR : Chat Apps need storage - both for instructions, memory and for users to inspect. Craft Docs provide that prefect storage layer.

Why wrap your MCPs?

A non-scientific (but real world!) evaluation of the new oss models from OpenAI - TLDR is that their tool calling/general intelligence lags behind Claude Sonnet 4. See example and explanation below (thread)

Of course with better prompting you could change these results - but from a "it just works" perspective, so far in our case the oss models from OpenAi are behind. We'll see if they can improve over time...
