we’re live on Product Hunt

Iris is built for the work that sits between people, tools and teams — with agents that can actually move the next steps forward

this is what we’ve been building ↓

[Dan Krieger @dankrieg]

Hey, we just went live on @ProductHunt with Iris!

we’re building AI agents for the work that gets stuck between people and apps.

a customer needs an update. engineering is waiting on a decision. someone needs to check the CRM, read the Slack thread and follow up. you end up coordinating the whole thing yourself.

Iris brings agents into those workflows to help gather the information, prepare the next steps and keep work moving across the tools your company already uses.

there are a few things we care a lot about ↓

[Iris @UseIrisAgent]

iHermes is now Iris.

same product. same assistant. a name that fits where we’re taking it.

Iris is your personal AI assistant for getting work done across the tools you already use, directly from iMessage.

more coming soon.

Introducing iHermes

A personal AI assistant powered by Hermes Agent, with GBrain for memory. You talk to it in iMessage.

We're huge fans of Hermes. We've been using it to build internal systems and automate work, and we wanted more people to get that kind of value without having to set up the whole thing themselves.

Start with one text. Connect the apps you use, hand off a task, and let it work through the steps. It keeps useful context from your earlier work and follows up proactively.

Our goal is to make iHermes the most transparent and secure personal assistant in iMessage, built around the person using it.

Your assistant should work for you.

[Holden Bruce @holdbru]

Garry Tan (President & CEO of YC) on building agents to be your second brain.

Earlier this year you needed to setup complex systems in order to have something that felt useful.

Now Instinct, Muse and iHermes are proof that you can have an incredibly powerful agent in something as familiar as your iMessage.

We've moved out of separate apps/computers into iMessage. What's coming next?

"The atomic unit of the web was the website. The atomic unit of the mobile was the mobile app. The atomic unit of AI is the agent."

[Dan Krieger @dankrieg]

it all started with “surprise me”

simple prompt...

@steipete (a real OG) helped push the industry to think differently about foundation models

an agent could take initiative, find useful work and come back without waiting for the next instruction.

now we have products like iHermes coming out of that shift.

i think this is the next step in how we interact with computers. you tell them what you want to achieve, and they figure out more of the work involved.

that’s what we’re optimizing for with iHermes

[Holden Bruce @holdbru]

early stage founders & sales ppl just want to close deals.

no one wants to spend their whole morning bouncing around different apps.

a customer email, Slack discussion, Linear issue and CRM record are all pieces of the same job.

we’re improving the operator's workflow with iHermes: find the blocker, get the next step moving and follow through – quickly.

giving you more time with the customer and less time carrying information between apps.

never seen a personal agent use gbrain before! very interesting

i used poke for almost a whole year before switching to muse and it had terrible memory/context!
