The United States is proud to partner with Bulgaria to strengthen our shared security and prevent the illegal trafficking of nuclear and radioactive materials. Through the @ENERGY 's Second Line of Defense Program, the National Investigation Service will receive advanced radiological detection equipment that will enhance investigators' ability to detect radioactive materials, improve officer safety, and support investigations involving radiological incidents.
This donation reflects the strong cooperation between the United States and Bulgaria in countering nuclear smuggling and other transnational security threats. Together, we are building stronger capabilities to protect our citizens and make our countries #SaferTogether.

Yesterday, at the Ministerial on the Resurgence of Political Terrorism, @SecRubio brought together partners from 60 countries to expand coordination, enhance information sharing, and strengthen international law enforcement mechanisms to counter this serious threat. Bulgarian Minister of Interior Ivan Demerdzhiev’s participation in the Ministerial and engagements with senior U.S. officials, including @DeputySecState Christopher Landau, underscored our shared commitment to strengthening our counterterrorism architecture.
The United States and Bulgaria continue to deepen our partnership to address shared security challenges and keep our countries #SaferTogether.

Today, I convened leaders from around the world for a ministerial meeting on the resurgence of political terrorism—driven by a rising tide of violent left-wing extremism. Together, we must rebuild our counterterrorism architecture to defeat the new wave of this old evil.

We are honored that representatives from the @TheJusticeDept, @DHSgov, @FBI, and @SecretService were recognized by the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bulgaria for their work to strengthen U.S.-Bulgaria law enforcement cooperation.
This recognition reflects our shared commitment to combating organized and transnational crime and building the skills of prosecutors and investigators through joint training and expert collaboration.
The United States is proud to work alongside our Bulgarian partners to promote justice, improve public safety, and build stronger institutions. We are making our countries—and our communities—#SaferTogether.

The ICC and its proponents seek a standing world tribunal with near-unlimited reach. It is constantly seeking to aggrandize its own power, falsely asserting so-called jurisdiction beyond its mandate, including over nations who never consented to its authority. These perverse attempts to encroach on the sovereignty of states, including some on this Council, must be defeated. So long as this decades-old concern remains unaddressed, we will continue to take steps as needed to protect U.S. interests. -@AmbUNReform
