@NineInchCohen@catturd2 I was wondering the same thing. Maybe some friends came with a stolen card and gave her that tip. It's suspicious and I understand the restaurant's caution.
@catturd2 I can understand a bit of caution on the part of the restaurant. If they give her the $700 and the transaction later gets flagged as fraud, the restaurant eats it. Give the waitress the 20% and hold the rest until the dispute period passes. It sucks, but I get the delay.
@Gaynotqueer1 I have never, EVER, walked into a room and done a "pronoun check". If these three were in said room, I'd clock two lesbians and a gay dude and go on with my life.
@MAGA_X_Times Ugh. I cannot believe I'm saying this, but that tip is massive and, if it ends up being a mistake or fraud, the restaurant eats the difference. What's the dispute window for a charge?
@libsoftiktok I'm guessing they're concerned about a so-called "teen takeover". Mind you, they don't care about the "teens" running wild and creating mayhem - they care about the optics of their police department either doing nothing or daring to lay a hand on said "teens".
@drgurner@CollinRugg People are already doing it on a smaller scale. Check out 'MS The World'. Individuals own cabins on a ship that essentially just cruises around the world, making ports of call. It isn't cheap, obviously.
@No4167 Almost all trannnys are identified within seconds. A handful last a bit longer. The number who pass to the point that they engender jealously among women and attraction among men? 'Infinitesimal' probably overstates the odds.
