The amount of people upset that a tornado outbreak didn’t happen today is honestly ridiculous.
When severe weather doesn’t materialize the way it could have, that’s a good thing. Yes, it may mean the setup didn’t fully come together the way forecasts suggested, but the alternative would have been communities dealing with destructive tornadoes, injuries, and lives permanently changed.
Forecasting is about preparing people for the potential of dangerous weather. If the worst-case scenario doesn’t happen, that’s something to be grateful for, not disappointed about.
If a "bust" for severe weather happens, it means houses aren't destroyed, and people don't die. I don't see what the issue is. I wish every severe thunderstorm event were a bust.
you storm chasers are just so happy for tmrw in the east coast when millions of ppl could literally die. we don’t have storm shelters or even basements in a good hunk of NC so where tf are we gonna go tmrw????
