terry i got a question for you (hope you answer)
if we was to get fernandes for 85m the midfield pair would be mainoo x fernandes no?
if tchouameni WAS to come aswell as that, then surely fernandes would be on the bench?
why in gods earth would we spend 85m FOR A BENCH PLAYER
Historically, the club didn't hoard unsellable deadwood or let agents call the shots. You have spent years complaining about the money blown on Fellaini, Antony, and Mount, while blasting the massive contracts handed to Rooney, Rashford, and Shaw for crippling us financially & hurting our culture in the dressing room. It makes no sense that you are now willing to repeat those exact Glazer-era mistakes for a player you explicitly admitted is only worth ยฃ50m.........Mic Drop
@markgoldbridge and does it not concern you that you want to spend EIGHTY FIVE BRITISH POUNDS, on a player who will sit on the bench all season, and probably only play champions leagues, fa cups etc
what a waste of money that could go elsewhere he went to tottenham let's be real for game time
question to all the 'let's pay the fee' people so mainly @markgoldbridge
if we was to pay the fee, your midfield would be Mainoo x Fernandes then correct?
so if tchouameni was to come in (which you want), what in god's earth makes you think fernandes will sit on the bench?
see i'd like scott but it makes no sense to pay 80m for him especially if it's a mainoo x scott pivot
we would get run rings around AND then you want tchouameni too? so we spend 80m on a backup? like..
honestly if united had a brain they'd get a number six - bruno g or baleba
@SullyTalkz this to me shouts that mateus could have chose us (we was willing to pay 85m) but opted for the project at spurs and potentially the money
i don't want anyone near the club who would rather spurs over united
massive bullet dodge then
so mateus actually could have chose us if he wanted us
he just wanted the money at spurs i'm sorry but it's the truth we was GOING to pay 85m but in a different structure
yeah exactly what i thought was the case, we matched their fee but we had add ons and wasn't willing to pay full amount, this goes to show though that the money is there
we can afford alex scott imo
France captain Kylian Mbappe is on the cusp of yet more World Cup history today.
If the 27-year-old finds the net he will have scored the most goals in the World Cup knockout stage ever.
He is currently tied at the top on eight goals with Brazilian duo Leonidas (1934 and 1938) and Ronaldo (1998, 2002 and 2006).
Mbappe scored three times in the knockout stage in 2018 and five times in 2022.
