Long-suffering passengers from Wanborough Station, one stop west from Guildford on line served by SWR and GWR - just looking for a decent level of service...
@swtrains_watch@SW_Help The person to whom our member spoke last night described themself as the Station Manager. This conversation also took place alongside the barriers on Platform 2. Thanks for speaking to them.
@SW_Help One of our members whose train from Guildford to Wanborough was cancelled last evening was informed by one of your staff at Guildford that it's only after THREE HOURS that they will give one a taxi in these circumstances. Can this be true? It always used to be an hour.

👷♀️⚒️ After a busy 5 days of engineering works between #Guildford and #Petersfield, part of the #Portsmouth Direct Upgrade, our engineers are almost done
🛤️We will be back Monday with a 🧵so you can see what we got up to, for now here's our engineers packing up at Liss Common
Really good to see @GWRHelp stopping at #Wanborough station as a points failure at #Farnham prevents @SW_Help from running a service between Farnham and #Guildford. Just like the old days, when train operating companies were not disincentivised from helping each other out!

How is it, @SW_Help, that @GWRHelp can run a full service between Reading and Guildford on non-strike days, but you haven't given us a single train between Farnham and Guildford since 12 December, and won't now until 9 January, leaving customers from #Wanborough stranded?
It makes no difference to us at #Wanborough Station whether it’s a strike day or not; we haven’t had a proper service since 12 December, the last day an @SW_Help train stopped at our station.

@SW_Help@NetworkRailWssx It's not a complaint! Just a request for some action. Our local MP has been very supportive in the past; maybe we should try him instead...
Good morning @SW_Help There's a long-standing problem with flooding at #Wanborough Station and we thought it had been fixed, but this was the scene earlier this morning. Impassable with dry feet. Can you get on to @NetworkRailWssx and ask them to come and fix, please? Thanks.
Our thoughts are with all those affected by the #Salisbury train crash, especially the driver with serious injuries. Every day train crew and other railway personnel work hard to keep us safe while we travel; it's tragic when such accidents occur. https://t.co/AvHBi5JQGp

Very sad to hear the tragic news about the death of railway worker Tyler Byrne on the track near Surbiton yesterday. At this difficult time our thoughts are with his family and with his colleagues @NetworkRailWssx We appreciate the dangers you have to work with on our behalf.
Big shout-out to @MarkKillick6 and @NetworkRailWssx for engaging so openly last night on Zoom with the community affected by emergency works at #Wanborough - saying sorry when things go wrong is really important in building confidence for the future. Thank you!
Congratulations @NetworkRailWssx on reopening the line at #Wanborough. It’s been a difficult few days, but it was good to see the first trains moving this morning. Look forward to your estimate of completion date for the project as a whole.
Thanks for the the update and also the commitment to halt nightime use of heavy machinery, which has been extremely disruptive to people's sleep and well-being. We'll all have a better night tonight! Appreciate that this is no mean feat in engineering terms. #Wanborough
We have been working hard to repair a land slip in the #Wanborough area. We apologise for the disruption this has caused especially to our neighbours in the area. Thank you for your patience. Here is a message from Mark Killick, our Wessex Route Director. https://t.co/BE7MyyKWeM
@NetworkRailWssx@networkrail 2/2 but you have got the balance wrong between the speed of reopening the line and the need to safeguard the mental and physical health of local residents. If train travellers have to take a replacement bus for a few more days that is a price worth paying. Stop piling at night.
@NetworkRailWssx Does not the current problem at #Wanborough - incidentally causing further disruption to your railway neighbours - lead you to question the wisdom of cutting down all the trees on railway embankments? Is it surprising there is subsidence as a result?
@NetworkRailWssx@networkrail You have got to stop piledriving during the night, which is having a serious impact on the health of local residents. Social media has heart-rending stories of people with young children unable to sleep because of the noise. Everyone understands that the work needs to be done 1/2
