Finally defended the D-Day!
I am grateful to my advisor @fanchyna and committee members @vikas_daveb@Faryane for valuable suggestions and @WebSciDL for such a support!
I am pleased to announce that my student Sami Uddin has successfully defended his master's thesis today titled "TransParsCit: A Transformer-based Citation Parser Trained on Large Scale Synthesized Data." Congratulations!

Bangladesh student leaders ousted a prime minister, negotiated with the military, successfully advocated for a Nobel Laureate to lead a new interim government, and then secured two slots in that interim government for themselves. Remarkable achievements for youth politics.
I strongly condemn the violence taking place in Bangladesh. Peaceful protest is a human right & the government in Dhaka must protect the rights of those protesting, not attack them. I call on authorities to restore internet access & protect the civil liberties of their citizens.
@sajeebwazed Dude open up your eyes. All you guys can do is blame, gaslight and manipulate the narration of reality. If your student wing stayed humble, if your police refrained from opening fire none of this would happen. All you can do is blame everyone but yourself.
Stop your mom
Bangladesh’s PM Hasina is using the tyrant’s handbook with armed troops, digital blackout, and “shoot-on-sight” orders to crush student protestors. Bangladeshi Americans are blocked from determining safety of loved ones. Hasina must face consequences for the “busloads” of the dead on her hands.

Dozens of protestors have been killed by Bangladeshi authorities in recent days. My constituents cannot reach their loved ones due to a government implemented communications blackout.
I call for an end to the blackout and de-escalation of violence against protestors.
Student death toll is piling up to 40+ in #Bangladesh from authoritarian brutality and wounding hundreds for a movement that started peacefully for wanting a fair chance in govt exams. I mourn for my little brothers and sisters.
