I can understand that there could be some mishap or a lack of communication with this as on the whole the process seems to be smooth but not giving adequate answers is really the lowest of acts. The least this body can do is keep applicants informed on what is happening.

Other students from my cohort who had applied for their visas after I did have all received their visas within 10-15 days. And the ones via the Non SDS route, which supposedly takes up 10 weeks, got it in 10 days. While they all appreciate the pace of IRCC, I really can’t.

My bio metrics was done within 5 days of application and my medical info got successfully updated within 14 days. Yet post that for the last 35 days, there has been no update on the portal. There is no info on why there could be a possible delay.

For most students, this is one of the biggest moments of their lives and they are kept in the dark about any updates, if at all there is one. I also realised that there is no logic to this whole process. The times mentioned on the website are not accurate

There has been no communication from IRCC’s side on why there is a delay on this and when I wrote to them, they just told me to sit tight. This is not an acceptable response. They should empathise with the students and try to understand us more.
