Following extensive consultations with party structures and leadership, I am pleased to endorse Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki (MFR) as my preferred successor under the platform of our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Young, pro-people, astute, and broad-minded, Amb. Yahaya Seriki has been a great political mobiliser with profound investments in and extensive goodwill among the people of Kwara State. I have no doubt about his capacity and that his choice is appropriate for the people of our state at this time.
While this does not in any way preclude all other aspirants from contesting in the primaries, I urge members and leaders to affirm the choice of Seriki as our candidate for cohesion, unity, and continuous success of the party as we hold our gubernatorial primaries on Thursday, May 21, 2026.
The choice of Amb. Yahaya Seriki is neither a disapproval of any of our eminently qualified aspirants nor a whimsical attempt to delegitimise the noble aspirations of our people. But in a race involving some 16 great minds for one office, only one person can take the shot at a time.
Finally, I acknowledge and commend the statesmanship of our aspirants, all of whom have shown discipline and impressive capacity to build on the undeniable achievements of our administration over the last seven years for the good of the people of Kwara State.

“We will not submit to noise, rascality, or disobedience to lawful court orders. We must uphold democracy, respect the judiciary whether it favours us or not, and remain faithful to the principles that hold our nation together.
There is no path to national greatness except the path of building one country, one common vision, one shared future of progress and prosperity for all Nigerians. That is what Renewed Hope is about.
They cannot scare me off. I have been through this road before and, if I must walk it again and again for our country, I will. There is no better place than Nigeria, and no one will build it for us except ourselves.
I have listened. I know the journey is not easy. But I give you my word: I will not run away from this task. I will not give up. Coordinate from the ward level, act as one family, stay focused on what we promised Nigerians, and stand firm.”
This was my message to the leadership and coordinators of my Renewed Hope Ambassadors this afternoon.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The work continues.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu
President
My family and I wish the people of Kwara State, especially the Muslim community, a blessed Eid-el-fitri, which marks the end of Ramadan fast.
I pray to Allaah to accept our worship and our supplication whilst the month lasted, and to give us the grace to remain faithful and submissive to Him, adherent to the best of manners that the month taught, and observant of His commandments at all times.
Eid Mubaarak!
Dear Nigerians,
Effective February 13, 2026, I signed an Executive Order to restore what belongs to the Nigerian people.
For too long, excessive deductions, overlapping funds, and structural distortions in the oil and gas sector have weakened remittances to the Federation Account. When revenues meant for federal, state, and local governments are trapped in layers of charges and retention mechanisms, development suffers. That must end.
With Order 9 of 2026 (Presidential Executive Order to Safeguard Federation Oil and Gas
Revenues and Provide Regulatory Clarity, 2026) which has now been gazetted, all Royalty Oil, Tax Oil, Profit Oil, Profit Gas, and other government entitlements under Production Sharing and related contracts will now be paid directly into the Federation Account. The additional 30 per cent management fee and the 30 per cent Frontier Exploration deduction will no longer stand in the way of national revenue.
Our objective is transparency, accountability, and full constitutional compliance.
Oil and gas revenues must serve the Nigerian people first and this reform is about fairness and fiscal responsibility.
As we strengthen national security, invest in education, expand healthcare, stabilise the economy, and advance our energy transition, every legitimate naira due to the Federation must be protected.
NNPC Limited will operate strictly as a commercial enterprise, as intended under law. The era of duplicative deductions and fragmented oversight is over.
Our administration will also undertake a comprehensive review of the Petroleum Industry Act to address structural and fiscal anomalies that weaken national revenue. I have also approved the establishment of an Implementation Committee to oversee and ensure the effective, coordinated implementation of the executive order.
Nigeria can no longer afford leakage where there should be leadership.
We are safeguarding the Federation Account.
We are strengthening our budget.
We are acting in the national interest.
This was my promise to Nigerians when I asked for this job. Nigeria First.
I thank you all.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu

My former boss died, he was buried six months ago not up to a year his wife is getting marry to another man.
What's so strange to me is that this woman has three children, a boy and two girls. Her son has completed Degree while two girls are still in the university.
The late husband is very rich, what else is she looking for? something is not right.
My late boss family refused to accept the the refund of pride prize from the incoming new husband.
Nature is truly unfair to man. To all men out there please take care of yourselves 🙏
I once had a client in Abuja. Mid thirties. Soft spoken. Very disciplined guy.
He worked in construction procurement. Not flashy money, but stable. Rent paid in Maitama. Car was clean, not new. Children in good schools. Life was not loud, but it was steady.
His wife was beautiful. Smart too. He met her when he was still managing a small project site in Kubwa he told me this. She married the potential in him, not abundance. And for years, she stood by him.
Then Abuja entered her phone.
Gym friends in Wuse 2. Instagram. Weekend brunches. Women whose husbands were senators, oil contractors, politicians. Soft life conversations entered her living room without knocking.
Comparison quietly became her daily diet. She started saying things like; “Is this all we will be?”, “Other women are traveling every month”, “You are too comfortable.”
The man noticed the shift. He tried to adjust. Took more risks. Took loans. Overworked himself. Still, Abuja was always showing her someone doing better.
One day, she met a man who checked all the boxes she thought she deserved. Big SUV. Driver. Access. Promises.
She left her marriage with two kids for that upgrade.
Six months later, the illusion cracked.
The man was married. She was a side arrangement. The money came with control. Silence. Disrespect. She could not post him. Could not complain. Could not demand.
By the time she wanted to return, the door was closed. Her former husband had healed quietly. Focused on work. Focused on the kids. Peace replaced pressure.
Today, she struggles with regret. Not because she left, but because she realized too late that hypergamy without self awareness does not upgrade a life. It often destroys it.
Abuja is not dangerous because of money.
It is dangerous because it constantly convinces people that what they have is never enough.
And some people ruin good lives chasing a lifestyle that was never meant to be theirs.
What am I saying? Lifestyle inflation ruins more homes than poverty.
The moment your desires grow faster than your income, pressure enters everything.
Not every “soft life” you see is real or sustainable.
Many are funded by debt, politics, or temporary access.

Al Jazeera reports that NAN and Artificial foods given to babies in Afrika have 50% more added sugar than in other areas.
They add that the WHO has warned that sugar fed to babies predisposes them to developmental failures and chronic metabolic diseases.
But the educated illiterates don't listen.
They have refused to breastfeed and instead feed their children all these useless products.
Babies need food, not products.

Some individuals and media are spreading misleading claims about the new tax reform laws taking effect from next year. Here are the facts they are not telling you.
From January 2026:
✍️ You will pay less or no tax if you are in the bottom 98% of income earners.
✍️ Food will cost less because VAT on food, education and healthcare will be removed.
✍️ Small companies will pay 0% corporate tax and will be exempt from VAT.
✍️ Large companies will pay lower corporate tax and will enjoy VAT credits on their costs.
✍️ In short: everyone - individuals, SMEs, and large companies - benefits from a reduced tax burden.
So you wonder why some say “this is not the right time for tax reform.” But why should we delay a reform that reduces the taxes Nigerians currently pay?
Here are some of the false claims circulating:
❌ New taxes are coming
❌ Government will debit your bank account
❌ Remittances and gifts will be taxed
❌ Online earners are the target
❌ Inflation will worsen
Good news doesn’t trend, sensational misinformation does, often to the benefit of the creator but at the expense of their followers. Unfortunately, many people fall victim.
I recently met someone who refused to buy rights issues from his bank because he believed he would be charged 30% Capital Gains Tax. In reality, he will be completely exempt – now he has lost money due to misinformation.
Nigeria’s tax awareness is low, and that makes people vulnerable to misleading analysis. The new laws did not introduce any new tax. Don’t let anyone scare you into believing otherwise.
When they say new taxes are coming, ask them to mention one. If they say taxes will go up, ask them which tax and for who.
