Developing story
USMI is closely monitoring the situation. The Penticton Sikh Temple reached out to the incredible volunteers at the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre evacuation site to offer support — and the offer was gratefully accepted.
The Penticton Sikh Temple provided evacuees and volunteers with peaches, Punjabi sweets and snacks 🍩, hot lentil stew, rice 🍚, dry groceries, and sugar.
The Penticton Sikh Temple has committed to continuing this support with whatever resources they have, whenever they’re needed.
We ask the Sikh community to help sustain this effort - dry groceries, sanitary supplies, and financial donations can be made through the Penticton Sikh Temple.

UN rights experts have urged Canada to take all feasible measures to protect the Sikh activist Moninder Singh, who has been repeatedly warned by the Canadian authorities of credible threats to his life. https://t.co/BHiifZkoDT
Five UN special rapporteurs have written to Ottawa expressing “serious concerns” about the safety of Moninder Singh, whom Canadian police have repeatedly warned was at risk.

United Nations human rights experts urge Canada to 'accelerate' investigations into threats to kill B.C. Sikh activist critical of India’s government. https://t.co/FV9lx85Ufd
Why do Indian intelligence agencies seek to know the whereabouts of a Canadian Sikh from his email account, mobile number and IP address?
@rcmpgrcpolice@CSIS@gary_srp should act before it’s too late.
🇨🇦 The Canadian NATO intern charged with espionage now has a name: Biwei Zhang.
CBC identified her after months of speculation.
Before the charges, she worked at the World Trade Organization, the European Space Agency, the Canadian Space Agency, and Statistics Canada.
Someone with that level of access across major Western institutions is now facing spy allegations.
The questions about security screening and how deep the vulnerability runs are only getting louder.

I met with the team of the Lockheed Martin defense company – one of the strongest enterprises in the United States, with which we have been cooperating for a long time. Lockheed Martin is the company that produces ATACMS, HIMARS, F-16s, and missiles for Patriot systems.
Today, we discussed further development of our cooperation – joint production and technology exchange. Ukraine has a lot to share with those who help us protect lives. We spoke about our joint capabilities related to Patriots and other systems. Our teams are already working on specific solutions to move to co-production as quickly as possible and increase our capabilities to protect lives. Thank you for your support and all your assistance!
🇺🇦🇮🇱 Zelensky and Netanyahu were both in DC for Lindsey Graham's funeral today
First time either's been in the same city as the other in months. Reports say they crossed paths on the sidelines.
That's notable because these two barely speak. Israel's refused Kyiv military aid, citing its own security coordination with Russia in Syria. Netanyahu's kept unusually close ties with Putin.
Ukraine's been backing anti-Russian-aligned factions in Sudan, Libya, and the Sahel, actors Israel doesn't love either.
A funeral for a mutual ally being the closest thing to a Ukraine-Israel meeting in years.
Yhat does that say about where each stands with Washington right now?

Iran’s threats are unjustified and groundless. The regime in Teheran is a direct accomplice to Russian aggression against Ukraine, fuelling Moscow’s criminal war with weapons that have killed Ukrainians since 2022.
Iran has no standing to pretend to be a victim, let alone justify its threats with absurd references to the UN Charter.
With its statements, Iran also tries to shift attention away from Russia’s terror against civilian shipping in the Black Sea, which is threatening global food security. But it will not succeed.
Russia’s attacks on freedom of navigation will be at the spotlight of today’s emergency UN Security Council meeting and we expect strong responses by the international community.
Ukraine enters the Iran arena after striking a vessel in the Caspian Sea, claiming it was involved in Russian military shipments.
Iran and US pause strikes after week of escalations.

They occupied the territories, killed the traditions, and destroyed the churches.
They killed religion, traditions, and language for 70 years.

Insha Malik was 14-years-old when shotgun pellets fired by Indian forces blinded her in Kashmir.
Years later, she is speaking out against a Bollywood film she says downplays the devastating impact of pellet guns.
Canadian national Security expert Daniel Stanton said the United States has greater leverage than Canada to push back against alleged Indian transnational repression. While Canada has launched a criminal prosecution over Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s killing, trade and diplomatic interests continue to complicate accountability.

Former Japanese Minister accuses India for sheer recklessness in India Japan Shinkasen Bullet Train project.
"Sheer recklessness on Indian side. They don't keep promises. Even if they make promise, they flip it right away."
"The Minister In charge was specially awful. If the top guy is like that, there's no way to have any decent dealings."
We would be greatly honoured if Your Excellency, Pete Hoekstra @USAmbCanada, could spare a few minutes for an interview with us on our channel, US MEDIA INTERNATIONAL. We wish to discuss the future of Canada's and the USA's relationships, including efforts to combat organized crime and address transnational repression by foreign and state actors in both countries. The channel is watched by South Asian ethnic groups in North America, including both American and Canadian citizens.
Look at who is demanding accountability for those who killed Sikhs in the USA and Canada. No accountability has been taken. Likewise, thousands of Sikhs were killed in Punjab, and there has been no accountability.
