@Chandler_Rome @TheAthletic The Astros have been underwhelming at every opportunity for a few years now, be it the draft, the trade deadline, free agency, etc. They’re surviving on force of will and unrepeatable performances by unheralded stars (especially arms like Lambert, Areighetti, Blanco, etc.)

@ryanbokros I said the same thing. Dana and Jim spent the last hour of the trade deadline drafting a press release about how competitive the deadline prices were because of the parity, but they feel really good about where we are as a team, and it’s almost better not to change the chemistry

If he can’t hit in a lineup that includes, when healthy, Lindor, Soto, bichette, polanco, and semien, I don’t think he’ll do much here. Admittedly most of those guys are underperforming/declining.
