A compound of orange, curvilinear, metallic structures in a future transhumanist suburb, adjacent to a park with abundant vegetation, where visitors can walk among the trees or journey to the waterfront. This is one of the futuristic suburban scenes envisioned by Zach Richardson – @BigPapaPengzu – in 2022 and enhanced by ChatGPT in 2026.

The original image which ChatGPT elaborated upon was part of a series that I commissioned Zach to create in July 2022, just before AI image-generation systems became widely available to the public. Zach described the concept as “a techno-utopian city with orange and black buildings based on a mix of the styles of Thomas Kinkade and Robert McCall”. The original landscape was covered with fog in areas where there are now park paths and a waterfront. ChatGPT added much greater realism to the mountains in the background and the sky as well.

(Ekaterinya Vladinakova) and described it as follows: “The City of New Antideath represents a future society which has overcome death, disease, and today’s principal sources of material scarcity and discomfort. This city contains more than ample living space in ornate, radiantly illuminated skyscrapers. Smaller villas, domed towers, and other luxuriously ornamented buildings adorn the central walkways. There is ample room for pedestrian traffic and plant growth sculpted into geometrically complex patterns.”

When DALL-E 2 emerged onto the scene in 2022, I attempted to see how the AI would expand the cityscape of the painting by increasing the dimensions of the digital canvas slightly and seeing what kinds of buildings DALL-E 2 would populate the new space with. Now, in 2026, I asked ChatGPT to create an entire new district of the city with skyscrapers derived from the architecture imagined by DALL-E 2. The initial result was an impressionistic painting that combined elements of the original, more detailed style of Ekaterinya Vladinakova with the more approximate but highly colorful style of DALL-E 2. I then asked ChatGPT to transform the resulting view into a more realistic, representational cityscape in a 19th-century Neoclassical painting style, and the result is quite impressive and esthetically consistent – supertall domed palatial skyscrapers situated on a landscape of broad walkways, carefully sculpted gardens, as well as fountains and statuary to provide ample visual interest for the pedestrians who would enjoy traversing these streets – and would have all the time in the world to do it.

Today, Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 1 p.m. U.S. Pacific Time, watch a compilation stream of four presentations from the May 3, 2026, sessions at the University of California, Berkeley Conference on Aging and Longevity (BerkeleyCAL), hosted by Professor Steven A. Garan, Director of Bioinformatics at the Center for Research and Education on Aging.

These presentations focus on the societal, economic, and advocacy aspects of the field of longevity and anti-aging and range from comprehensive overviews of the longevity sector to approaches for improving the health of the public and catalyzing scientific breakthroughs. Speakers in this stream include Scott Summit, Brian Wang (@nextbigfuture), Laurence Ion (@longevion), and Karl R. Pfleger (@KarlPfleger).

This is the first of multiple streams that the U.S. Transhumanist Party is compiling in order to bring the proceedings of the BerkeleyCAL to a wider audience.

Presentations include question-and-answer sessions, where I asked several in-depth questions and received thoughtful answers from the speakers.

His platform utilizes motion capture and advanced robotics to create personalized, engaging, and physically challenging environments that encourage users to exercise consistently. By leveraging the same technology that drives sedentary gaming addiction, this system aims to bridge the gap between entertainment and preventative health for all ages. The Salon stream also includes some brief footage that I captured of one of the VR worlds within Ethereal Matter’s MEK exercise machine.

He explains that the longevity sector is growing rapidly, with significant backing from billionaires funding major ventures. Finally, he emphasizes the potential public health and economic benefits of longevity technologies, suggesting they could mirror the transformative, large-scale impact of recent weight-loss treatments.

Lawrence Ion discusses his mission to accelerate longevity research by building a semi-autonomous city, Viva City – https://t.co/01hzGTInXd– designed to circumvent bureaucratic hurdles and overregulation in traditional medical science. He argues for a decentralized, "bottom-up" approach—leveraging communities like VitaDAO and experimental pop-up villages—to foster innovation and rapidly bring life-saving therapies to market. Through this initiative, Ion aims to establish a new legal and regulatory sandbox that empowers individuals with the freedom to pursue advanced longevity interventions more safely and efficiently than current systems allow.

Pfleger of https://t.co/CUADywK8wZ – https://t.co/dUQQOR6Odt – investor and author with a rigorously systematic approach, presents a comprehensive overview of the aging and longevity field, emphasizing the shift to treating aging as a manageable pathology through the Geroscience Hypothesis. He analyzes the current status of the sector, noting that while the pipeline of FDA-approved aging therapeutics is just beginning to emerge, there is a clear, data-backed trajectory of future growth. Finally, Pfleger distinguishes between two primary research strategies—broadly slowing aging through monotherapies and the divide-and-conquer rejuvenation approach.
