Please pray for the repose of Fr Joe Kendall of the Archdiocese of Liverpool & Vice Rector of Valladolid College.
Fr Joe was ordained to the Sacred Priesthood in 2012 by Archbishop Patrick Kelly.
We pray also for his family, friends and the Archdiocese at this deeply sad time.
May the Lord welcome him home.
This month makes 7 years since a drop of alcohol. My wife was in the ER, and still sick. My son is still suffering symptoms from a nasty concussion. Work has been overwhelming. A Rosary everyday keeps me sane. Everything is fine.
Iβm Ben. Iβm autistic. Diagnosed at 5.
By 19, Iβd lost both my parents. Iβve
faced bullying, grief, loneliness, and
moments when I didnβt think I could
keep going. But Iβm still here. I turned
pain into purpose. Setbacks into strength.
As I begin my second term as provincial, I want to really focus on making our congregation better known.
The needs are so great, and we really desperately need new candidates. I hate telling pastors that I don't have any more teachers to send them, or turning away people who need nurses, or seeing even our older Sisters doing the job of younger women, simply because of a lack of vocations.
I truly love our congregation's charism of spreading the Kingdom of Love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in prayer and works of mercy.
I love our rich history, being founded by two saints, St. Joseph Sebastian Pelczar and Blessed Klara Szczesna.
Our humble, hidden, Franciscan attitude has kept us in obscurity for the most part in the United States. People have no idea about our beautiful life of prayer and work, community life that is designed to be like a family home, and franciscan joy and simplicity.
I told our Lord that I will prepare the rooms for more postulants at our provincialate, in preparation for his goodness in sending them sometime soon.
We have two good postulants right now, and two wonderful Junior professed, but I would love to see many more come our way.
If you, my friends, would say a prayer that our Lord would mercifully hear our prayer for vocations, I will be eternally grateful.
