🚨From Crores in Cash to Gold Hoards: CBI unearths a sprawling Ecosystem of Corruption within the AG office, Manipur.

📌 This morning (18.11.2025), A Senior Accounts Officer, Irom Bishorjit Singh was caught red handed & arrested by the CBI while demanding & accepting a bribe of ₹10,000 in lieu of getting an MACP file cleared.

Investigation is continuing & searches are being conducted at the premises of the accused.

📍Earlier in February 1, 2020, another Senior Accountant, Yumnam Sarat was arrested by @CBIHeadquarters following a raid at his Wangkhei Angom Leikai residence as well as his office. According to CBI, he had amassed disproportionate assets to the tune of ₹ 1,40,37,387 between 2010 & 2019.

During the search at Wangkhei Angom Leikai, a large number of bank passbooks, 78 pension books, ATM cards, cheque book, documents of immoveable properties, insurance documents & cash amounting to ₹ 31,14,710 & multiple gold ornaments were seized.

📌 During interrogation, Sarat admitted that he had purchased a three storey RCC building at Wangkhei Angom Leikai at ₹ 1,19,00,000 crore in 2016.
He also admitted that he also bought another multi-storey RCC building which was still under construction at Hafiz Hatta, New checkon.

📍On October 16, 2020, the CBI also carried out a similar raid at the residence of another Senior Accountant, Konjengbam Ibothem & recovered incriminating materials from his residence & office, including ₹54,45,930 in cash, 63 tola & one san of gold jewellery, 130 pension passbooks, 185 bank passbooks, 127 ATM cards, 124 cheque books, 10 sale deeds, two gift deeds, one mortgage deed & 18 Jamabandi documents, among other items.

According to the CBI chargesheet, Ibothem, while serving as Senior Accounts Officer in the office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E), Manipur, was found in possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income amounting to ₹3,54,47,233 for the period between August 1, 2005 & September 30, 2020.

📌 As part of a follow up probe into related cases, CBI raided another residence of senior Account officer Budichandra Naorem in Imphal & recovered Rs 5 lakh in cash, gold ornaments worth Rs 15 lakh, land purchase documents, among others from the Uripok Ahanthem Leikai.

Netflix just got humiliated by cyclists.

€8 million budget. Global platform. 14 out of 22 teams told them to get lost.

Drive to Survive: 57 million watch hours in two weeks. Netflix's cycling show: 1.5 million.

That's not just a flop. That's revolt.

But the real moment Netflix lost cycling happened on Stage 18, 2022 Tour de France.

Pogačar crashes on a descent. Jonas Vingegaard - wearing the yellow jersey - has a choice: attack his fallen rival or wait.

He waits.

In cycling, the yellow jersey isn't clothing. It's a contract. You earned this. You represent the sport now. You carry its values.

That moment - a leader showing respect to a fallen rival - is pure cycling.

Raw. Authentic. Dramatic.

Netflix cut it.

Instead, they hunted for manufactured rivalries. Invented drama where there was none. Rewrote team sacrifice as personal conflict.

The irony? Netflix had their own yellow jersey.

Teams trusted them with unprecedented access.

Riders wore their microphones.

The cycling world said: "Tell our story to the world."

That's the same contract. You represent us now.

But Netflix wore the responsibility without understanding what it meant.

They thought cycling needed their Hollywood formula - the same blueprint that made F1 a global phenomenon.

But F1 runs on ego. Billionaire team owners. Pit wall politics. Manufactured rivalry.

Cycling runs on code. Respect. Silent suffering under extreme pressure.

Netflix tried to force F1's conflict-first template onto a sport built on trust.

The result? They offended the very people they were supposed to serve.

Teams walked away from global exposure because the story Netflix told wasn't theirs.

The most successful content doesn't manufacture drama.

It finds the drama that's already there.

Netflix had access to the world's most brutal sporting event. 21 stages of pure human struggle. Life-and-death decisions at 80km/h.

They had everything they needed.

They just looked in the wrong place.

While Netflix was manufacturing soap opera, they missed the real magic:

Can you descend a mountain at 80km/h trusting the wheel in front of you?

Sprint shoulder to shoulder at full speed in the last 100 meters?

Ride 5+ hours per day in 40 degree heat for 3 weeks?

That's not manufactured drama, it's real.

And it happens 200 times per stage.

The yellow jersey teaches you something: respect what you're given the privilege to represent.

Netflix never learned that lesson.
