Impact player is the obvious not in the spirit of the game thing and must be scrapped asap.

Sachin has deeply understood the patterns in games this year.

Batting teams now target 6 over power play and maximize it and most of the time go on to win the game without a miracle happening. You can't let people lose interest in a chase after 6 overs in a 20 ov game.

Many teams have gone for too much runs in 20th over this year almost tilting the game in favor of other side. Basically due to their 1 or 2 best bowlers of the day used up their quota. 5th over to one bowler will bring counter balance to this.

I would add one more make 70m minimum distance to boundary from both sides. (some grounds this may not be possible, but if possible physically it must be rule), hate to see mis hits edges going for sixes. And make batters run 2s and 3s. Getting 12 runs in an over must be harder than it is now.

Sachin Tendulkar’s suggestions to restore balance in T20 cricket and IPL (ESPNcricinfo)

1. Scrap the Impact Player rule.

2. Allow one bowler per team to bowl up to five overs instead of the current four-over limit.

3. Introduce dual Powerplays:
a) A four-over batting Powerplay.
b) A two-over bowling Powerplay, during which the fielding side is permitted one additional fielder outside the 30-yard circle.

Tendulkar believes these changes could help restore the balance between bat and ball in modern T20 cricket.

This is not about districts.. Its about kerala as a whole and beyond India as nation. I am from idukki and this line will never touch it.

Have seen silver line, k rail, even in past express highway all seen failure in kerala..

But everyday i see malayalis coming here to Germany and loving the ICE trains and autobahns (expressways without speed limit).

I go from munich to Berlin for work sometimes on an ice and it takes 4 hrs (~ 584km bit more than now proposed kerala route).. I can work those 4 hours comfortably on the seat... And u feel not tired too.. Have food in the restaurant wagon if needed too.

This means someone in north kerala can travel for a meeting in South kerala and return home in a single work day without losing working time.

This is just one economic productivity example.... The implications and indirect benefits are much more.

The funniest part is the experience of ICE i mentioned is considered inferior globally, when looking at what china has for example.. Even spain or Italy got.

So... I hope this time the proposal works.. Its for the long term benefit of kerala as a whole.

Thats a stupid idea. The high speed is for long distance connection.

The ask must be feeder systems from each district. Express buses, monorail, metro, etc.. Also delhi-meerut rrts like extensions.

A high speed rail that goes from say

Trivandrum airport to kochi airport to lannur airport with minimal stops and 3x faster travel across kerala could significantly change the kerala economy.
