I would have liked to see #ViratKohli go out of test cricket before a packed stadium. But since that is not to be let us applaud him wherever we are. He told a generation weaned on T20 cricket that test cricket is cool and aspirational. And for that, the game owes him big time.
Started watching cricket somewhere in early 2010, the SA tour and the 2011 WC win got me more interested into the sport.
Then came the 2011 IPL with heroics of Chris Gayle, ABD moving in and Virat rising through the ranks of RCB.
The team has sticked as favourite ever since :)
Man I feel for Quinton de Kock as he plays his last ODI today. Unarguably the finest wicketkeeper batsman in the game, one of the very best left handed batsman and opener going around too. Massively underrated. Both south africa and world cricket will miss him!
As much as the cricket fan in me would love to see a India Australia final, I am fine with SA being the winner here if that makes our job easier. Have watched enough cricket to know that the only real threat to the Indian campaign in this WC is the AUS team. #CWC2023
NZ? Good team but not very scary if the ball doesnt swing. The aussies are built different. Big names in the squad, players with massive experience and game changing capabilities and a team that knows how to win trophies. Keep them away.
‘Son I was there when Virat scored his 50th ODI ton, I was there when he went past Sachin’s record of most runs in a single WC esition. I was there when he marked himself as the greatest of all time to have played ODI cricket.’ #KingKohli𓃵 #WorldCup2023
