@brandenflasch ...yeah? It wouldn't be an issue if GB/T became the global standard or Chademo, both of which had real chance.
Most truly a shame we dont live in this world
@PelicMikepelic@AustyUSA Speak for yourself. I have a short range MS in SWFL, because i want the ability to make that choice myself.
I don't care if they're "pits"
@PlugLyfOfficial@RickyLucero_@Mattlinn01 Im not a Tesla critic, but it's annoying when you have to listen to the wiper noise randomly every few seconds because the car got something in its eye. I have a stalk with wiper controls so i jsut leave it off until a storm, but it's still annoying
@scottew Hmm, i see your logic financially, assuming this is a Stellantis situation.
Tesla makes the regular cheap cars, Rivian runs their brand with Tesla money and tech access
Lucid becomes the premium brand, TRL, Tesla Rivian Lucid Group
@7thGeneration3@mikepat711 ... 500kw charging? 4 wheel steering by wire? Thing doesn't even have a steering wheel, i doubt they share anything when the service manual is dropped
@sreeharivariar@brandenflasch ... Not really, ESPECIALLY if you're on HW3. I f i didn't drive 2k to 3k miles a month, i would have dropped FSD in a heartbeat. It's a nervous student driver afraid of the dark and lacking depth perception
@LeviHoliday4 The settings in the car which lie to you like cabin overheat and"show third party chargers" which doesn't show a single bloody non-tesla charger
@alex_bessinger@itskyleconner Thank you so much for the information as well as the inspiration! My car is a 2017, so apparently it's a gen3 charger, but while looking on https://t.co/pHo2aN1lDn, there is a 72amps onboard charger upgrade possible (1090835-00-C) so im gonna give this a try, thanks!!!
@alex_bessinger@itskyleconner Honestly, with my car my long term goal is to slowly upgrade it into the best old school Model S I can, and 80amp charging feels like it would be necessary to achieve this... My problem has always been actually finding one to install...
@coldenvy They sold this because DCFCs were not really a thing when they started, but there were J1772 chargers at the time. I really want to install one in my car tho ๐ญ
@MattWallaceTech Chances are because EA is mostly paying for the installation im guessing. Also, most cars would only pull 11kw, very few 21kw, so the shopping trip would be a moment anyways.
@JNizzleCizzle@spotted_model@mikegapinski My biggest fear with these was always responsiveness, but that looks properly smooth, and looks like it might solve a bunch of my issues with the car, thank you so much!!! Getting one now!
@TXTeslaCowboy Before i tinted my car, the glare nade the screen impossible to see, so i added a matte one to the main touchscreen. Visuals are slightly washed out, but it's been an immense help regardless
