UX to PM: when you think of UX, do you see it more as a proactive discipline, or a reactive discipline?
PM: Reactive. You are getting your projects from the PM’s & Devs. If they need a screen layout, UX designs it so the devs can build it.
UX: Yeah, that’s graphic design not UX
The first question a UX Designer should ask during an interview is, “How’s your code base?”
The second? “How are you measuring usage?”
The third? “Are you talking to users?”
@jmspool @astr0mnaut I don’t know the last thing Jared designed also... but, I’m not privy to his schedule... doubt he’s seen my work close up. But, maybe! Keep up the good work.
Your #UX#design portfolio is not a place to showcase flashy visuals.
It's not even a place to tell the story of a project.
Your portfolio is the story of how *you* contributed to the successful UX work of the project. That's literally all I want to know.
Many times I’d prefer to utilize code more than sketch. a quick prototype may be just as easy with a quick HTML mock up. Even loose wireframes become testable.
The prototype is sometimes easier to test.
